Local Artists Shine at L.A. City Hall in the Disability Art Exhibition

The City of Alhambra, California, has reason to celebrate — a selection of its talented local artists has been recognized at the prestigious Los Angeles City Hall Bridge Gallery! Christian Tresierras, Ricardo Tresierras, William Lee, LIFT Students, and James Takar are among the accomplished artists whose works are on display, thanks to the unwavering support of The Academy of Special Dreams Foundation and sponsorship by The City of Los Angeles Department on Disability.

After a hiatus of three years, the Disability Art Exhibition has triumphantly returned in person, showcasing the creative brilliance of 42 artists with disabilities. The exhibition is set to run from October 13 to November 12, 2023, aligning with the celebration of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM).

This remarkable achievement results from collaborative efforts between the Academy of Special Dreams, Braille Institute of America, Exceptional Children's Foundation, L.A. GOAL, and Tierra del Sol Foundation. These organizations have committed to promoting access and equity for individuals with disabilities, enabling them to thrive as cherished and essential members of the Los Angeles community.

The exhibition is open to all, and admission is free. Visitors can explore these inspiring artworks from Monday to Friday, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., until November 12, 2023
