Dear Editor,

Please pass on our thanks! Everyone at Gifford Dance Academy, including the Gifford family, coaches, parents and dancers, would like to say a huge thank you to both Etonbury Academy and Pix Brook Academy, for stepping up to help us following the very sad news that the town is losing the community centre in Stotfold, where we have trained for many years.

We are so excited to start classes in January at Etonbury for the very first time, and so grateful to be able to use their facilities as they have agreed to accommodate both our Saturday and Wednesday classes that have been displaced by the closure. We can't explain what a relief it is! For Rebecca it is extra special as she went to school there herself years ago.

Pix Brook have managed to squeeze in our displaced Monday classes and we thank them for their continued support as we have been using their facilities for some time, and they are always extremely helpful and we love being there.

We are just so relieved to be able to continue to offer the young people of Arlesey & Stotfold, local venues to train in as they continue to excel. Hopefully some of you will have seen videos of them performing at Blackpool Opera House in November. They were outstanding! We are also looking forward to taking a team of dancers to perform at Disneyland Paris in April, after they excelled in the Disney auditions and received marvellous feedback, securing their place on stage.

Thank you to both schools for recognising the difference dance can make to children and teenagers, and thanks too to all the residents who have followed our journey and wished us well. We feel a wonderful support from the community and it means so much to us.
