We are delighted to announce the winner of our Arlesey Christmas Hero for 2022!

Together with Satchells Estate Agents, the Arlesey News Magazine are once again proud to present this award to one extra special Christmas Hero from within our local community.

We were astounded at the volume of entries we received again this year and would like to thank everybody that took the time to send in their nominations..

We are delighted to announce that the award for his year’s Arlesey Christmas Hero award was a unanimous decision. We are so pleased to present this year’s Christmas Hero Award to Helen Bardell.

Helen has worked tirelessly over recent months to ensure the smooth running of St Peter’s Church, Arlesey while it found itself without a Vicar. Here are just a few of the comments we received about Helen and the wonderful work that she has done. “Helen is a prevalent member of the community who deserves recognition” “Helen believes that local people deserve to have a figure they can turn to in times of trial and tribulations such as a Vicar” “Helen is a lady who demonstrates commitment and dedication at another level. ” “We are so grateful to her for that and it would be fantastic if we could celebrate her through this medium. ”

We hope you agree that although we recognise that are many people working hard behind the scenes at St Peter’s Church, Helen thoroughly deserves this award for going over and above for the community of Arlesey.

We congratulate all of our nominees for 2022, the volume of nominations we received and the wonderful stories we have read just go to show how many people within our community are willing to give to others and fully deserve the title of ‘hero’ in many, many ways.

Our wonderful 2022 Christmas Hero winner Helen received a luxury Christmas hamper to enjoy, donated kindly by Satchells Estate Agents.

Thank you to everybody that has taken the time to nominate their Christmas Hero this year, we really wish we could have picked more than one just the one winner!
