Rock-‛n‛-Roll Ice Cream m ACTIVITY (Ice cream in a Bag Recipe) Materials:

• 1 small “zipper” bag (snack size) per person • 1 large “zipper” bag (pint size) per person • 1/4 cup rock salt or table salt • 1 1/2 to 2 cups of ice per person • 1–2 drops of vanilla • 1 tablespoon of sugar per person (or 1 sugar packet) • 1/2 cup of milk per person • Measuring cups and spoons • Paper towels

Instructions: 1. Measure out ingredients (vanilla, sugar and milk) into a small bag. 2. Shake the mix, and seal carefully. 3. Place the small bag inside the large one. 4. Fill the large bag with ice and salt. 5. Shake, rattle, rock ‘n‛ roll the mixture until the bag is hard. (This should take approximately 5 min.) 6. Wipe off excess ice and salt from the top of the small bag. 7. Enjoy!
