Intheoverture,Mr.Pekarekavailedhimselffully oftheresourcesofhisorchestra;thefuguewaswellbalancedandattaineda splendidclimax.Theplayingthroughoutwaspowerfulandrich.
Theconductorwieldedhis batonwithspecialzestand enthusiasminhiscompatriot's"SlavonicDances." Inspiredbyhisfervour,the orchestragavethemaspiritedperformance,and broughttheconcerttoa sparklingconclusion.
