LordDudleyandsuitewerepresentattheconcertintheSydney TownHall,alsotheCardinal,ArchbishoPKelly,andalargegathering oftheclergy.Thescenewasabrilliantone.TheNationalAnthem greetedthevice-regalpartyontheir arrival.

TheorationonthegroundwasdeliveredbytheCardinal,speaking fromthevice-regalenclosure,and wasaneloquentandvigorousdefenceoftheloyaltyoftheIrish race.Hewasrepeatedlycheered.
