ThefifthsuccessfulConfer) encewasheldonthe27th.March last,intheSacredHeartSchool, Highgate,withapproximately 120memberspresent.Many branchchaplainswerealsoinattendance.
TheConferencewetsopenedby Dr.E.Sullivan,DiocesanChap0lainofbothMovements,at11 a.m.Doctorwelcomedallpresentandexpressedthehopethat theConferencewouldbeequally asbeneficialashadbeenthe precedingones.
MaryConnor(DiocesanPresidentoftheN.C.G.M.)thanked Doctor,andinturnintroduced EileenRowbottom(President, ShentonParkN.C.G.M.),who gavethefirstpaperoftheConference,"FormationofCatholic ActionLeadersThroughAction," whichclearlysetouthowleaders actuallytrainthemselvesthrough action,undertheguidanceandinspirationofthechaplainand presidentoftheirgroup.
