Arcadia Contemporary is pleased to announce “Twofold,” the debut duo exhibition by Anhelina Holembivska & Andrii Kateryniuk. After years of painting side by side in Kyiv, Ukraine, and Florence, Italy, husband and wife artists Anhelina Holembivska and Andrii Kateryniuk will present their first duo exhibition in the United States. While distinct in subject matter and approach, their works reveal a shared artistic rhythm developed through years of dialogue, observation, and mutual influence.
Titled “Twofold,” the exhibition brings together approximately 20 new oil paintings that showcase the artists’ complementary yet individual visions. Quiet moments, natural light, and emotional subtlety are central to both practices, with each artist approaching the canvas through uniquely personal sensibilities. Together, their practices reflect a partnership rooted in shared experience, shaped by two distinct yet intertwined creative paths.
ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Originally from Kyiv, Ukraine, artists Anhelina Holembivska (b. 1996) and Andrii Kateryniuk (b. 1994) live and work in Florence, Italy, where they share a studio and a deep commitment to classical painting traditions. Both are graduates of the Academy of Fine Art in Kyiv and the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence, and their practices reflect a mutual respect for careful observation, technical rigor, and emotional depth.
Anhelina draws inspiration from Eastern philosophy, classical still life, and the natural world. Her work often explores the tension between fragility and resilience through delicate botanical studies and contemplative figurative compositions. Andrii is known for his luminous landscapes and portraits in oil, capturing fleeting moments with a refined sense of atmosphere and tonal harmony. His recent works center on the quiet beauty of wildflowers, forests, and intimate gestures, and he was recently recognized in the 16th International ARC Salon.
