Tennis Court Use and Identification Guidelines In efforts to help Residents and Non-Residents enjoy the Tennis Courts uninterrupted and without unidentified users on the courts, we are enacting a new court use procedure. As of January 1st, it will be required for the individual booking and use of the tennis courts that occupants post their AGCDD issued access control card, guest pass, or valid proof of residency on the appropriate board at the court entrance gate they are using.

Court bookings are limited to a maximum of 90 minutes. Courts of Opportunity cannot be booked more than 30 minutes in advance. Residents and Non-Resident Members must be present with and are authorized up to three (3) guests at any one time per household or membership. If these and the full list of Tennis Court Guidelines posted on the board at Court 1 are not followed, individuals will be asked to leave the courts and are subject to further suspension of privileges.

Dear Homeowners, The Arbor Greene of New Tampa Homeowners Association (HOA)’s agreement with Creative Management expired on December 31, 2018. At its regularly scheduled public meeting held on November 27, 2018, the HOA Board of Directors voted to continue with Creative Management on a month-by-month basis. However, on December 1, 2018, Creative Management resigned. Subsequently, at its public meeting held on December 11, 2018, the HOA Board of Directors voted to approve a oneyear agreement with Greenacre Properties, Inc. (GPI). HOA attorney Steven H. Mezer of Becker & Poliakoff provided counsel. The HOA board voted unanimously to establish a special committee to vet prospective property-management companies. Accordingly, HOA board secretary Kevin Kerrigan will chair the committee, and HOA board vice president Henry De La Hoz and HOA board treasurer Jeffrey Blank have volunteered to serve as committee members. In short, effective January 1, 2019, GPI will be our new property-management company for one year. Our new Licensed Community Association Manager (LCAM) is Patrick Dooley, and he may be reached at PDooley@greenacre.com or at (813) 936-4108. If you have any questions or concerns about your annual HOA assessment payment, please contact Carol Twynham at CTwynham@greenacre.com or at (813) 936-4136. The HOA’s Design Review Board (DRB), having hosted a record number of public workshops, has forwarded its comprehensive recommendations concerning design standards to the HOA board for further consideration. Aside from general maintenance of the exterior, prior to any major exterior project, including, for example, the repainting of the home’s exterior, replacing the mailbox or roof, changing the landscape design, making any architectural modification, etc., a DRB application must be submitted, in addition to whatever else may be required, e.g., City of Tampa permit and/or CDD approval, etc.; and a Notice of Completion (NOC) must be submitted to the DRB for review and approval once the exterior project has been completed. All Arbor Greene residents and visitors are reminded that there is no overnight street parking permitted and that parking on sidewalks is prohibited. Enforcement actions are only taken if and when voluntary compliance fails. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.

Neighborhood Watch Holiday Season Tips Important Information to KnowIt is important to know how to contact the Tampa Police Department should you need to do so. If you need the Police/Fire/EMS RIGHT NOW dial 9-1-1 For non-emergencies dial (813) 231-6130 Online: www.tampagov.net/police The Tampa Police Department has an excellent website that is available in 9 languages. Did you know that you can send nonemergency messages online? You can submit everything from anonymous crime tips to noise complaints to bicycle registrations. Anyone can check crime statistics, police calls for service, and crime activity maps. (www.tampagov.net/police/contact-us) In addition, information is available regarding programs that the Tampa Police have developed for public safety. Some of these are: Vacation Watch - This free service allows City of Tampa residents to give officers a heads up that their homes will be unoccupied for an extended period of time. Project REC (Register Every Camera)- Investigators often rely on video footage to identify, arrest and prosecute criminals. Neighbors App – This app available on Apple and Android enables you to monitor neighborhood activity, share crime and safety related videos and photos, and receive real-time safety alerts from your neighbors and Tampa Police. We hope all of you have had a happy, healthy, and safe holiday season. Remember to lock your doors on both your homes and vehicles. Don’t leave valuables in plain sight and close your garage doors. Don’t make yourself an easy victim of crime.

National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Below are a few commonly asked questions concerning stormwater.

Karen Usherwood - Neighborhood Watch (NWA) Coordinator *The views and opinions expressed in this article are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of the Arbor Greene CDD.

ARBOR GREENE GAZETTE



What are the effects of storm water runoff? Stormwater runoff is the transport vehicle for pollutants. Any dirt, oil, grease, fertilizer or other pollutants on the ground can be picked up by stormwater runoff and carried into the storm drains, lakes and rivers. These pollutants may include nutrients which provide food for unwanted aquatic plants like hydrilla and algae. Excessive alage growth can lead to decreased oxygen in the water that fish need to breathe, resulting in fish kills. Bacteria and other pathogens from pet waste can create serious health hazards in ponds and lakes.



What is illicit or illegal discharge? Any substance released into the separate storm water drainage system that is not composed entirely of stormwater or uncontaminated groundwater. Examples of illicit discharges include dumping or motor vehicle fluids, household hazardous waster, paint, pool water, grass clippings, leaf litter or animal waste.



What should I do if I see an illicit or illegal discharge that could affect our Stormwater Management System? Please contact the Hillsborough county Stormwater Emergency Operations Center (813) 272-5912, or (813) 272-6900, City of Tampa Stormwater Division - Illicit/Illegal Discharge (813) 2743101, or the Arbor Greene CDD Community Manager (813) 9919226 ext. 7.
