Celebrating the Island's Best Restaurants
Every year, we celebrate the island’s culinary talent through the Bahrain Confidential Best Restaurants Awards. First launched in 2019, the platform has grown into the ultimate dining guide, spotlighting the top restaurants as chosen by a panel of judges and the public.
How are the Best Restaurants Selected?
Unlike most awards where categories and criteria are set by organisers, Bahrain’s Best Restaurants Awards is designed to be completely authentic and unbiased.
Here’s how it works. The Best Restaurants are decided through two means: The Judges’ Votes and The Public Vote. This is how each of them works:
The Judges’ Vote: Leaders from Bahrain’s hospitality industry, including General Managers and senior executives from fivestar and leading four-star hotels, along with hospitality experts and food bloggers, are invited to join a panel of judges. Each judge lists their five favourite restaurants in Bahrain. No categories, no rankings, no restrictions - except one: judges cannot vote for restaurants connected to their own brands or hotels.
The Public Vote: This is where you come in! Diners across the island, through our online portal, can vote for up to three favourite restaurants. It’s your chance to make sure your go-to dining spot gets the recognition it deserves.
By combining two perspectives - the expertise of industry leaders and the public’s opinion - we’ve strived to make Bahrain’s Best Restaurants Awards truly honour the island’s diverse and incredible dining landscape. No member of Bahrain Confidential has control or influence over the votes.
For four editions, it’s been a format unlike anything else in the Kingdom; one that
keeps the process transparent, inclusive, and genuine - a true celebration of food and hospitality.
Why Does This Matter?
W ith returning favourites, exciting newcomers, and hidden gems, this year’s winners will represent the very best of Bahrain’s vibrant food culture. Every restaurant, regardless of its category or price point, is on equal footing. The voting process is simple, and the recognition is based on authentic experiences.
The Final Reveal
W inners of the Judges’ Votes will be revealed in Bahrain Confidential’s October special edition, featuring the island’s best restaurants, voices from the F&B space, and stories of success from the hospitality sector.
All winners of the 2025 awards - both Judges’ Vote and Public Vote - will be felicitated at our gala ceremony this December, where the island’s Hospitality and F&B community comes together to celebrate, connect, and, of course, feast.
THE PUBLIC VOTE
Voting for your favourite restaurants is simple. Follow this quick guide to make sure your top choices are recognised.
Step 1: Scan the QR Code to visit Bahrain’s Best Restaurants Awards 2025 Public Vote page.
Step 2: Enter your name and email address so your vote is counted.
Step 3: Browse through the list of restaurants and select up to three of your favourites.
Step 4: If your favourite spot isn’t listed, don’t worry. Scroll down to the bottom of the list where you’ll find the “Other” option.
Step 5: Click “Other” and type in the name of the restaurant you’d like to vote for.
Step 6: Once you’re happy with your selections, click “Send.” A green confirmation box will appear on your screen, letting you know your vote has been successfully submitted. n
The 2025 Story
The new, the returning, the stand-outs - these are the highlights of Bahrain’s Best Restaurants 2025.
• Of the 26 Best Restaurants, 7 specialise in Japanese cuisine.
• Mediterranean cuisine has replaced Italian as the second most popular among the judges
• 7 of the 26 Best Restaurants are about or less than a year old in Bahrain.
• For the second year in a row, ROKA Bahrain was the most voted restaurant among the judges.
The votes for Bahrain’s Best Restaurants were cast by 46 judges this year.
The Rise of New Culinary Stars
Bahrain's Best Restaurants Awards 2025 tells a compelling story of culinary adventure on the island and rapid acceptance. Seven brand new dining spots made their way to the Ultimate Dining Guide among returning favourites. It reveals to us a dining community eager to embrace fresh experiences.
Speed of Recognition: What's remarkable is how quickly these newcomers have gained recognition. Restaurants like Asteria, Lyra, and Osteria Papà have earned their place alongside seasoned venues in under a year. Adventurous early adopters in Bahrain’s F&B dining space are anything but creatures of habit.
Diverse Culinary Landscape: The new additions showcase impressive diversity. From Mei Ling's Chinese influences, Lyra, Asteria, and Avli by tashas’ Mediterranean flair, to Osteria Papà’s Italian flavours, and Sumosan Bahrain's Japanese creations, the list reflects a sophisticated palate seeking global experiences. Kaya Restaurant & Lounge adds to this international mix, demonstrating how Bahrain's dining scene has become a melting pot of flavours.
The judging panel's recognition of newcomers suggests, above anything else, a deep trust in novel concepts. For restaurateurs, it signals that Bahrain offers fertile ground for bold culinary ventures, provided they deliver exceptional experiences from day one. n

Crafting With a Human Quality
Renowned restaurateur and mixologist, Tato Giovannoni, on always putting the guests first.
Argentine hospitality has always been a way of life shaped by cultural fusion, immigrant influence, and indigenous traditions. At Florería Atlántico, one of the world's 50 best bars in Buenos Aires, Tato Giovannoni embraces this philosophy to transform every guest experience into a memorable one. On his recent visit to Brasero Atlántico in Bahrain, he kicked off Negroni Week with his delectable selections.
While mixing drinks and creating an unforgettable vibe for his guests at the Sheraton Bahrain Hotel, we caught up with him for an exclusive conversation.
I wanted to showcase a little bit of who we are as Argentines, and how much we - those of us in this industry - love giving our guests a little escape from their daily routines.
What's one thing about Argentine hospitality culture that you made sure guests at Brasero Atlántico experienced during your Negroni Week visit?
Argentine hospitality is very warm. I believe it has to do with who we are and how we mix culturally with the influence of immigration and native communities. I wanted to showcase a little bit of who we are as Argentines, and how much we - those of us in this industry - love giving our guests a little escape from their daily routines.
Can you tell us a little about how bartending, as a craft, has evolved since you started?
It's changed enormously: new techniques, new equipment, bringing several things from the kitchen to the bar. There are
many new spirits and small producers, as well as in-house distillations and infusions. But I think in some cases, some bars and bartenders have forgotten about our guests and put their egos first.
Evolution is good when it comes to technology and techniques, but never when it distances us from our guests. I don't like bars that don't allow people to sit at the bar or bartenders who don't interact with the people who visit. We should never forget that we're here to make guests happy, to bring them joy.
Florería Atlántico, which you own back in Buenos Aires, is recognised as one of the world's 50 best bars. What makes a bar or restaurant, in your opinion, truly special?
The people - staff working together as a group, as a family, united. That's what makes the place special. The way they devote their lives to bringing joy to guests. Good drinks, good music, and good food are easy to find.
You can have a great concept, but if you also have that human quality - putting your ego aside and giving your best every day to create a space where all guests, no matter who they are, feel at the same level - then you're creating something special.
Who are your biggest inspirations in the industry?
I admire many people in this industry, but my biggest inspirations come from my childhood. The waiters, chefs, cooks, runners, and dishwashers who worked for my father for more than 30 years in the '70s, '80s and '90s. This industry gave them a profession. Many came from very humble places, loved what they did, and left everything aside every day to share love through their hospitality.
What's the one question about your craft that no one ever asks, but you wish they would?
No one ever asks us about the jour ney or takes the time to understand how we got here. n
Negroni Balestrini, a signature creation by Tato Giovannoni.
The Enduring Appeal
From
warm welcomes to timeless dishes, find out what keeps guests coming back to Cico’s year after year.
For nearly five decades, Cico's Italian Restaurant has been serving up Italian fare in Bahrain. Since opening in 1978, the familyrun establishment has built a loyal following, with many guests returning year after year and bringing their families along.
General Manager Guido Giraldo now oversees operations, bringing his own approach to hospitality while honouring the restaurant's long-standing traditions. In this exclusive interview with BahrainConfidential, he shares his thoughts on what makes dining special, his favourite menu items, and why Cico's has managed to stick around for so long.
What makes a dining experience special?
It all starts with the welcome; getting a good table, being presented with menus, and listening to recommendations from staff who know the food inside out. Fresh ingredients and wellmade dishes are essential, of course. But here's the thing: anyone can sell food. Only a few can create a genuine experience that stays with you.
What drew you to the role of managing Cico's?
Finding the right place to work is crucial when you're building your career. Cico's history really moved me. The fact that guests have been coming here for years, bringing their children and now their grandchildren, says everything. Plus, the staff here are exceptional. It's simply the best place I could ask for.
What, in your opinion, makes Cico's stand out in Bahrain's competitive Italian dining scene?
We've been open since 1978, which speaks volumes. Over the years, we've grown alongside our customers. Cico's isn't just
about serving Italian food. It's about creating memories that last a lifetime. That's what sets us apart.
What's your personal favourite dish on the menu, and why?
I think it's everyone's favourite, actually: the cer nia alla griglia. It's grilled hammour with lemon and garlic sauce. Simple, fresh, absolutely delicious. You can't go wrong with it.
Outside of Cico's, where do you like to dine in Bahrain?
I really enjoy Circa. The South American food they offer is excellent, and the service is top-notch. It's a great spot. n
A Taste of Turkey in Bahrain
Authentic flavours, theatrical presentations and warm hospitality make CZN Burak more than a family-friendly restaurant - it’s an unforgettable dining experience.
When it comes to authentic Turkish dining in Bahrain, CZN Burak has carved out a space that goes beyond dining - it's an experience. Since opening at The Avenues Gate 3 in 2022, it has become the go-to destination for those seeking hearty Turkish flavours, warm hospitality, and an atmosphere that brings people together around the table.
Whether you're indulging in freshly baked Lahmacun, sharing a spread of mezze with family, or ending your meal with golden Baklava paired with Turkish tea, the restaurant, brainchild of viral sensation Burak Özdemir, blends authenticity with comfort.
Step inside and you're immediately transported to Istanbul. From rich interiors and warm lighting to the aroma of freshly baked bread, the restaurant captures the sensory richness of Turkish dining.
No visit is complete without experiencing the drama of the Family Share menu.
Authentic Turkish Flavours, Straight From Istanbul
At the heart of CZN Burak is a menu that pays homage to Turkey's rich culinary traditions. Every dish balances generosity and big flavours with portions designed for sharing. Each dish feels like it's been pulled straight from a Turkish household kitchen.
Lahmacun arrives as a thin, crisp base topped with minced meat, tomato, parsley, and spices – simple yet irresistible. Mixed Grill Platters showcase juicy kebabs and chicken skewers that demonstrate Turkish charcoal grilling mastery. For dessert, layers of Baklava and warm Kunafa provide the perfect sweet ending.
A Family-Centred Dining Experience
Food at CZN Burak is about more than what's on the plate - it's about the people you share it with. The restaurant embraces the Turkish tradition of communal dining, where dishes are laid out in abundance and everyone is invited to taste, share, and enjoy.
Families across Bahrain and Saudi Arabia have quickly made CZN Burak their weekend go-to, whilst professional groups love the energy of long tables and
celebratory spreads. It's the kind of place where birthdays, anniversaries, and casual gatherings make sense, thanks to the infectious energy that mirrors the brand's personality.
The Theatre of Fire and Flavour
No visit is complete without experiencing the drama of the Family Share menu. The spectacle begins when you order signature dishes like Stuffed Lamb, Perde Pilav, or Salted Roasted Lamb.
Presented with a live fire show at your table, these dishes form the core of a performance you'll be discussing long after the meal. The crackle of flames, the unveiling of the dish, and the aroma create an unforgettable moment that captures the essence of Turkish dining - a celebration of food.
Hospitality with Heart
What makes a restaurant special is the food, atmosphere, and hospitality combined. When staff greet you like family and create a space where you're celebrated as much as the food is, the dining experience lingers.
It's this hospitality-with-heart philosophy that makes CZN Burak stand out globally. Whether listening to the story behind a dish, being guided through mezze options, or having the youngest members of your party engaged and taken care of, service here is thoughtful and genuine.
If you haven't visited CZN Burak yet, take this as a sign to book your next family dinner. n

Honouring Roots
From home kitchen to bustling Mediterranean café, Diana Ali shares her Lebanese heritage through warm hospitality.
Diana’s Eatery & Café is a Mediterranean-inspired neighbourhood eatery founded by Diana Ali. Her journey began with the now iconic Spicy Salmon Bowl created in her home kitchen. The Eatery celebrates her Lebanese heritage, her love for Mediterranean flavours, and her vision of building a community space rooted in warmth and hospitality. From a single dish in her home kitchen to a neighbourhood eatery in Hamala Hills, Diana Ali’s journey with Diana’s Eatery & Café is one rooted in passion, heritage, and community.
Your story began with the Spicy Salmon Bowl - what made it so special, and how did it help with setting up Diana’s Eatery & Café?
The Spicy Salmon Bowl was born in my tiny home kitchen when I was simply experimenting with flavours I loved and sharing them with family and friends. I never expected it to become so popular. My cousin’s colleagues even created a WhatsApp group called 'Salmon Bowl Orders' to make sure they placed theirs every Thursday. The bowl was fresh, vibrant, and simple, and it gave me the courage to dream of something bigger.

from Lebanon to the Mediterranean coast, flavors inspired by my teta, reimagined for you.
HAMALA HILLS, AL JANABIYAH

8 AM - 11:00 PM WEEKENDS
CLOSED EVERY MONDAY
That single dish inspired me to create a space where food and community could come together. It still stands out as the only non-Mediterranean item on the menu, which otherwise is filled with flavours from across the Mediterranean and from my Lebanese heritage, always honouring my grandmother, my Teta, may she rest in peace.
How would you describe the atmosphere you’ve tried to create at the eatery?
I wanted the eatery to feel like an extension of my own home: warm, welcoming, and filled with soul. From the rattan chairs and walnut tables to the earthy colour palette, every detail was chosen to create a sense of calm and comfort.
I spent months searching for the right details, from cushions and bench sponges to lighting fixtures. Even the plates transport guests to the Mediterranean. Combined with the menu, they create an experience that feels like being on holiday but also at your grandmother’s house. More than anything, I wanted people to feel at home.
Tell us a little about the food - what inspires your menu?
The menu is inspired by my travels across the Mediterranean and, most importantly, by my Lebanese grandmother, who taught me how to cook. You’ll find touches from Greece, Spain, and Turkey alongside Lebanese influences.
A favourite example is our Labneh San Sebastián, a baked cheesecake infused with labneh and served with strawberries soaked in orange blossom. Everything is made from scratch, from
soaking chickpeas to straining yoghurt to preparing homemade syrups. We use only natural fats such as olive oil, ghee, and Irish butter. My philosophy is simple: if I would not serve it to myself, I would not serve it to my guests.
Can you briefly recall one challenging and one memorable moment in the early days of Diana’s Eatery & Café?
The biggest challenge was managing the overwhelming logistics of opening, from sourcing quality ingredients to training a small team that shared my vision. This was my first venture in the food and beverage industry, and I went from making salmon bowls at home a few times a week to running a full eatery. The most memorable moment was opening night. Seeing a full house of guests sharing mezze and smiling over their meals made every obstacle worthwhile. I was so overwhelmed that I hid in the office and cried happy tears. I felt my Teta with me and knew I had made her proud.
What’s next for you and the restaurant?
Beyond being a neighbourhood eatery, I want Diana’s to be a place where people instinctively gather for both everyday meals and special occasions. We have exciting themed nights and events planned, and I am looking forward to opening our terrace soon. As for the future, I want to dream big. I hope to see Diana’s Eatery grow beyond Bahrain and become a place where people everywhere feel at home. n
More Than Meets The Eye
Chef
Chadi Karam on the art of crafting desserts that taste exquisite and look unforgettable.
Beyond the picture-perfect pastries he crafts at EL&N London, Bahrain, Chef Chadi Karam’s story blends the best of two worlds - Middle Eastern flavours and French technique. Since stepping into world-class kitchens at just 18, he’s made the pastry section his stage. Today, the Pastry Chef is the creative force behind EL&N London, Bahrain’s most talked-about treats, from the timeless tiramisu to glossy ganache creations that have quickly gone viral.
EL&N London is famous for desserts that go viral. How do you ensure the highest standards of quality while preparing aesthetically pleasing pastries?
Quality always comes first for me. I work with the finest ingredients, precise techniques, and uncompromising
Tell us about the signature items you’re most proud of creating at EL&N London, Bahrain.
I’m especially proud of our pistachio collection, which blends Middle Eastern flavours with refined pastry expertise. I’ve also created seasonal entremets that reimagine European classics in a colourful, playful style true to EL&N London's creative spirit. Each piece is more than a dessert - it’s a memory in the making for our guests.
How did you first discover your passion for pastry making?
A strong trend in pastry today is cultural fusion - combining classic French or international techniques with local flavours.
attention to detail. Once flavours and textures are perfectly balanced, I turn to presentation. Every dessert must be visually striking, because at EL&N London we aim to create experiences that delight both the eyes and the palate.
What trends do you see emerging in the pastry world that might make their way to Bahrain?
A strong trend in pastry today is cultural fusion - combining classic French or international techniques with local flavours. Guests are increasingly curious and adventurous, making Bahrain the ideal place to showcase this balance of tradition and innovation. Another rising trend is personalised desserts, where people seek creations that tell a story or mark a special moment.
My passion was shaped by my career rather than a single moment. I trained in some of the world’s most prestigious kitchens – from luxury hotels like Cheval Blanc, Four Seasons, InterContinental, and Capella to working alongside Michelinstarred chefs such as Yannick Alléno and Pierre Gagnaire. Each step deepened my respect for precision, creativity, and discipline. After 18 years, pastry has become more than a craft; it is my language - a way of sharing emotion and excellence with others.
What’s your go-to comfort dessert and why?
I’d choose two: pistachio kunafa and handmade croissants. The kunafa reflects my roots and love for Middle Eastern flavours: warm, generous, and comforting. The croissant, meanwhile, embodies the French craftsmanship that shaped my career: layers built on precision, patience, and technique. Together, they tell my story as a chef who bridges tradition and innovation. n
Autumn Escapes
Escape to Bahrain's coast or city centre as seasonal shifts bring compelling new reasons to book a staycation - with family dining and seaside barbecues.
As the cooler months arrive, two distinctive hotels in Bahrain are rolling out the red carpet with autumn promotions that make now the perfect time to book a getaway.
Seaside Serenity in Muharraq
The Elite Resort and Spa sits right on Muharraq's coastline, where guests can watch the sea from their windows. The property offers one, two, and three-
bedroom suites that work just as well for solo travellers as they do for families looking to escape together.
Until the end of December 2025, their Autumn Escape deal starts from BHD 39 for a one-bedroom suite. That price includes a breakfast buffet, WiFi, VIP touches, and the luxury of checking out at 4 PM instead of the usual noon rush.
October brings special treats for families. Kids get their own dedicated menu, plus there's a Family Pizza Feast available through room service. The real highlight is Seafood Night by the pool, where diners can choose between indoor and outdoor seating whilst taking in those autumn views. At BHD 12 per person (half price for children under 12), it's positioned as an affordable way to enjoy fresh catches.
Friday nights get a barbecue twist at LA Brasseries, their on-site restaurant. From 7 PM to 11 PM, the Grill Nights menu costs BHD 12 with soft drinks or BHD 21 with selected alcoholic beverages. Children aged 6-12 pay just BHD 6.
City Centre Comfort in Seef
For those who prefer the buzz of city life, Elite Seef Residence & Hotel places guests right in Bahrain's main shopping district. The suites here lean into luxury with spacious layouts, grand bathrooms, and home theatre systems in every bedroom.
Each room comes equipped with HDTV satellite channels, highspeed internet, direct-dial phones with voicemail, and digital
safes. The 24-hour room service means midnight snacks or early breakfast are never out of reach.
Their autumn promotion mirrors the seaside property but starts slightly lower at BHD 36 for a one-bedroom suite, with the same perks: breakfast, WiFi, VIP amenities, and that coveted 4 PM checkout.
The hotel group positions itself as catering to both regional GCC travellers and international visitors seeking traditional Arabic hospitality with modern comforts. Both properties feature multiple restaurants, bars, executive lounges, health clubs, spas, and business facilities. n
Both autumn promotions run until December 31, 2025. For bookings: call +973 17 558 200 or visit www. elitegrouphotels.com. The Muharraq resort can be reached directly at +973 3888 4415.
Gourmet Goes Local
Fine Foods Gourmet is making it a lot easier for Bahrain’s home cooks to find quality ingredients. We find out how.
Picture this: You're planning a special weekend dinner and realise you need proper aged Parmesan, not the pre-grated stuff. Where do you go? For many food lovers, home cooks, and gourmet seekers in Bahrain, the answer has become Fine Foods Gourmet.
The island’s culinary evolution has been, to say the least, mesmerising to witness. Traditional local dishes like the machboos continue to be revered, while exploring new cuisines and flavours is equally important to Bahrain’s diners. Fine Foods Gourmet is answering this growing diversity, curating products that speak to both adventurous palates and those seeking authentic quality.
The Convenience Factor
What started as an online destination has grown into something more significant for Bahrain's food landscape. Fine Foods isn’t just stocking premium ingredients anymore; it connects local food enthusiasts with producers from around the world.
Whether it’s an aged Parmigiano-Reggiano for a weekend pasta project or the perfect cut of wagyu for a special dinner, their selection reflects a need for home-cooking or gourmet experiences to be nothing but the real thing.
The convenience factor can't be ignored either. Time is precious; having restaurant-quality ingredients delivered to your door changes how you approach cooking. Their mobile app has made this simple, turning ingredient hunting into a hassle-free experience, with multiple delivery slots available.
The kingdom has seen remarkable growth in its restaurant scene over recent years, with everything from street food to fine
dining finding eager audiences. But there's been a parallel shift happening in home kitchens at the same time. More households are experimenting, exploring, and elevating their home cooking, and retailers like Fine Foods Gourmet have both responded to and helped fuel this trend.
Behind the Scenes
Their backing by the HHM Group provides the kind of supply chain reliability that matters when you're dealing with perishable luxury goods in a Gulf climate. It's one thing to promise premium quality; it's another to deliver it consistently whilst maintaining the cold chain from farm to doorstep.
For Bahrain's ever-growing foodie community, Fine Foods Gourmet represents something valuable: access without compromise, convenience without sacrificing quality, and choice that reflects the island's increasingly sophisticated palate.n
Turning Up The Heat
Tamer Farouk discusses the launch of CLAW BBQ and creating unforgettable dining experiences at Hilton Bahrain.
Since taking the helm at Hilton Bahrain three years ago, General Manager Tamer Farouk has made it his mission to shake up the island's dining scene. From Friday brunches that teem with lively weekend revelry to championing sustainability initiatives, he believes that being young in a competitive market doesn't mean playing it safe. Now, with the launch of CLAW BBQ, a new immersive dining destination hitting the island, Farouk is ready to break the mould and give his guests an experience that’s out of the ordinary.
What led to the launch of CLAW BBQ at Hilton Bahrain?
I first worked with CLAW BBQ during my time as General Manager at DoubleTree by Hilton Doha, and honestly, the reaction from our guests was unforgettable. CLAW BBQ is so much more than a restaurant; it’s a whole experience.
From the Southern hospitality and energetic vibe to the delicious food and drinks, it draws people in. Guests don’t just come to eat; they come to have fun, and that’s what makes CLAW BBQ so special.
When I joined Hilton Bahrain, I immediately thought - this is the perfect home for CLAW BBQ. Our hotel already has a fun and quirky personality, and being in the heart of Juffair, the Kingdom’s entertainment district, we wanted to create something that matches that energy.
CLAW BBQ brings exactly that: it’s lively, it’s different, and it’s designed for people who want to roll up their sleeves, dig in, and really enjoy themselves. Having seen how much people love CLAW BBQ in the UAE and Qatar, I knew it would be a hit here too.
So, I’m genuinely excited that we’ve finally brought it to Bahrain, and I can’t wait for our guests to experience the same CLAW-some vibe that made me fall in love with the brand in the first place.
Bahrain is a foodie’s paradisewhat unique experience will CLAW BBQ offer that diners can't find elsewhere on the island?
CLAW BBQ isn’t just a restaurant or a bar - it’s a full-on experience. It’s a social hub, a games centre, and a destination for unforgettable moments, all in one. Guests can enjoy our signature dishes, from succulent BBQ ribs and juicy burgers to fresh seafood like shrimp and crabs, cooked on our traditional coal-fired grills. And yes, let’s not forget our perfectly mixed drinks make for an impeccable pairing with every bite.
What truly sets CLAW BBQ apart is the vibe. It’s lively, energetic, and unapologetically fun. Guests can challenge friends to billiards, test their strength on the punching game, and immerse themselves in the playful, quirky decor.
Every visit is interactive: you eat, you drink, you play, and you make memories. Then there’s our team members! We’re hiring the most fun team at CLAW BBQ, guaranteed to bring even more energy and life into every guest experience.
As General Manager of a relatively young hotel in such a competitive market, what's been your biggest learning over the past three years about Bahrain's hospitality and dining scene?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned over the past three years is that nothing is impossible. Despite being a relatively young hotel in a highly competitive market, Hilton Bahrain has truly made its mark. We’ve challenged norms with creative offerings, innovative collaborations, and strong sustainability initiatives, all while establishing a reputation for being fun, unique, and memorable.
Like with our Friday Brunch, it’s now recognised as the standard for fun, lively brunch experiences in Bahrain. I always tell my team to dream high - dream like the skies are ours - because that’s how you create something truly new and extraordinary. This is just the beginning.
Beyond the launch of CLAW, what other developments can guests expect at Hilton Bahrain over the next 6-12 months?
We’re now entering one of the busiest and most exciting periods at Hilton Bahrain, with a host of new experiences lined up for our guests. First up is the relaunch of our Pan Asian Night every Wednesday.
We’ve completely revamped this special to include authentic Asian favourites - from the famous Filipino dessert halohalo, to Chinese dim sum, Japanese mochi ice cream, and so much more - all paired with the perfect entertainment and karaoke to bring the experience to life.
The festive season is also just around the corner, and we’re thrilled for the celebrations ahead. We’ll soon be announcing our festive offers, so I encourage everyone to keep an eye out - they’re going to be very special. Of course, we’re already planning for Ramadan.
After the success of The Dome, we have the exciting challenge of exceeding that experience with something even more memorable this year. A lot is happening at Hilton Bahrain over the next 6-12 months, and I can promise our guests that it will be fun, engaging, and full of unforgettable moments. n
The Perfect Cut
InterContinental
Bahrain’s culinary story is being written by a new leader who sees food as a bridge between people, place, and experience.
With years of experience and a passion for creating memorable dining journeys, Alexandre Buytaert has stepped into his role as Director of Food & Beverage at InterContinental Bahrain.
From reimagining Legendz Steakhouse as more than just a destination for premium cuts to curating refined brunches and championing sustainability, Alexandre is steering the hotel’s culinary offerings with vision and heart.
We sat down with him to talk about what sets the awardwinning Legendz Steakhouse apart in Bahrain’s bustling dining scene, the challenges and rewards of leading diverse F&B operations, and the concepts yet to arrive at InterContinental Bahrain.
Let’s talk about Legendz Steakhouse first. What is your vision for the restaurant? How do you want the restaurant to be remembered by anyone dining here?
At Legendz Steakhouse, my vision is to create a dining experience that goes far beyond the plate. Of course, the quality of our meat is paramount - we source only the finest cuts and prepare them with precision. But what I truly want guests to remember is the sense of warmth, refinement, and hospitality that defines every visit.
Legendz should be remembered as a place where excellent cuisine meets genuine connection - where every guest feels cared for, every detail is thought through, and every moment lingers long after the last bite.
We have already brought this vision to life through our Brunch Affair, where brunch is elevated into a refined experience with curated dishes, exceptional ingredients, and premium spirits, creating a dining journey that sets a new benchmark in Bahrain.
Just as important, however, is the warm engagement from our team - their genuine interactions add heart to the dining experience, ensuring that guests not only enjoy an exceptional meal, but
also feel welcomed, valued, and able to pause from their busy schedules to connect over food. Because at its core, food is not only about taste - it’s about people, connection, and belonging.”
Bahrain's dining scene is packed with steakhouses. What, in your opinion, are those key factors that transform a good meal into an unforgettable experience at Legendz?
Bahrain has no shortage of steakhouses, but what sets Legendz apart is our balance of tradition and innovation. We respect the classic steakhouse heritagegenerous portions, exceptional cuts, and expert grilling - while elevating it with contemporary touches, refined plating, and personalised service. An unforgettable meal is not just about flavour; it’s about the ambience, the attention to detail, and the way a guest feels when they walk out the door. At Legendz, we strive to deliver that complete story every single time.
What's been the biggest challenge and the most rewarding aspect so far since you’ve taken charge of F&B at InterContinental Bahrain?
The biggest challenge has been to continue evolving our offerings in a market that is both highly competitive and constantly changing. Guests today are well-travelled and expect global standards paired with local authenticity.
The rewarding part, however, has been working with such a passionate team that shares the same commitment to excellence. Seeing a concept come to life - whether it’s a refreshed menu, a themed dining event, or a flawless service moment - and knowing it made someone’s evening truly memorable is what keeps me inspired.
What are InterContinental Bahrain’s plans for evolving its dining concepts and guest experiences?
We are focusing on three pillars: innovation, sustainability, and connection. Innovation means refreshing our dining concepts to keep them exciting and relevant, whether through seasonal menus or curated experiences.
Sustainability is central to our philosophy, from sourcing responsibly to reducing food waste. And connection is about strengthening the bond between our restaurants and the community - making InterContinental Bahrain a true hub for culinary discovery in the Kingdom.
If there were one dish you’d recommend from each restaurant at the hotel, what would they be?
From Legendz Steakhouse, it has to be our signature Beef Wellington, a dish that combines precision, indulgence, and artistry. At Medzo, I would recommend the homemade Ravioli with Ricotta and Spinach, which captures the essence of authentic Italian comfort.
From Selections, our Seafood Night is a must-experience, offering freshness and variety that celebrate Bahrain’s coastal heritage. At Downtown, I’d suggest our Asian-inspired tapas plates, perfect for sharing with friends over a lively evening. Rigani, our pop-up Greek restaurant, is all about fresh Mediterranean flavours - and I’d point anyone straight to the Grilled Octopus, a simple yet unforgettable dish that embodies the spirit of Greece.
Finally, while Elements Lounge may not have a “signature dish” per se, it now offers something equally delicious - the perfect vibe. With our new DJ sets every Thursday and Friday, it’s less about what’s on the plate and more about unwinding with great drinks, great music, and a great crowd.n

What, according to you, makes a dining experience memorable?
A memorable dining experience is the result of a harmonious blend of exceptional food quality, impeccable and personalised service, and a captivating atmosphere. Attention to elegant presentation and thoughtful details, like interactive elements or surprises, enhances the experience. From the moment guests arrive until their departure, the journey should be seamless and designed to exceed expectations, leaving a lasting, positive impression.
What's your personal favourite dish on the menu at Palma Restaurant, and why?
While I have many favourite dishes, one that truly stands out is the braised short rib fagottelli. The short ribs are braised for 36 hours and paired with a black truffle short rib braising jus. This dish beautifully balances comfort and refinement, with flavours that delicately tease the palate.
What dining specials can guests expect to enjoy at the hotel over the next few months?
We are thrilled to introduce several exciting initiatives. Our new “Taste of the Mediterranean” brunch at Palma Terrace will feature curated dishes inspired by the region. Authentic flavours from Italy, the South of France, and Spain will be complemented by a local Middle Eastern touch.
Our signature breakfast pastry has gained popularity, showcasing dates harvested from our Raffles Garden, paired with almond frangipane for an exquisite breakfast experience.
Our new “Taste of the Mediterranean” brunch at Palma Terrace will feature curated dishes inspired by the region.
Additionally, we take pride in our homemade bread at Palma, crafted with a local Middle Eastern influence. Our sourdough is infused with pickled grape leaves, adding a delightful hint of tartness and umami, a perfect pairing with our extra virgin olive oil.
We recently relaunched a new in-villa dining menu featuring playful and contemporary dishes that highlight local favourites, crafted by our chefs to create a residential feel for dining in the comfort of your villa.
Which chefs or cuisines have had the biggest influence on your cooking style?
I have been fortunate to work with incredible chefs who have instilled in me the art of creativity, flavour balance, and a deep respect for top-quality, seasonal ingredients. Influences include Thomas Keller (French Laundry), Curtis Duffy (Ever Restaurant), Pierre Gagnaire, Juan Mari Arzak, and Grant Achatz (Alinea Restaurant). Each has significantly shaped my culinary knowledge and skills.
My nine years in Japan have also profoundly impacted my career, teaching me that ingredients are central to the chef and guest experience. The principles of simple and pure cooking, along with the importance of knowing local farmers, will always resonate with me.
What qualities do you look for in team members working with you in the kitchen?
I am a discipline-driven chef and seek team members who are passionate about their craft. I value creativity, an eagerness to learn and grow, curiosity, and, importantly, the ability to have fun in the kitchen! n
Heritage on Plates
Takht Jamsheed, the Manama favourite for Iranian flavours, is now expanding to a whole new location - with a beachfront setting.
If you’ve lived in Bahrain for a while, chances are you’ve either been to Takht Jamsheed or heard friends rave about it. Within the walls of The Gulf Hotel Bahrain, the restaurant feels like stepping into a royal palace. Now that the restaurant is expanding to new landscapes, we take a look at what’s led to it becoming one of Bahrain’s best restaurants.
Or nate shields, ceremonial swords, imperial vases, and striking replica sculptures set the tone for an evening that feels both cultural and culinary. It is one of those places where the setting alone gets you excited before the food even arrives.
At the heart of the kitchen is Master Chef Jalali, who has been with Takht Jamsheed for years and is renowned for his passionate efforts in preserving the authenticity of Iranian cuisine while making it approachable. His cooking leans on tradition, yet it always feels fresh.

Never Stop Learning
An unforgettable dining experience is the result of discipline in the kitchen, a passion for food, and unrelenting teamwork, says Chef Jagbeer Singh.
With more than 18 years of international culinary experience, Chef Jagbeer Singh is fondly known as the master of precision and creativity. From the luxury dining scene of Dubai and Bahrain to the refined kitchens of London, the unique challenges of cooking aboard a Maldivian super yacht, and the rich hospitality culture of Sri Lanka, his talents in the kitchen are inspired by some of the world’s most dynamic food destinations. He now heads the kitchens at Texas Longhorn Bahrain and Ourania Restaurant, where he is celebrated for his bold steakhouse expertise and inventive seafood creations.
What, according to you, makes a dining experience truly memorable?
A memorable dining experience is about the perfect alignment of three elements: food, service, and ambience. When these come together seamlessly, guests feel welcomed, valued, and delighted. At Texas Longhorn and Ourania Restaurant, we aim to create those “signature moments” - whether it’s the joy of cutting into a perfectly cooked steak, the warmth of attentive service, or a thoughtful surprise gesture. People may forget what they ordered, but they will never forget how we made them feel.
What qualities do you look for in your kitchen team?
A kitchen thrives on discipline, reliability, and ownership. I look for team members who are adaptable under pressure, respect hygiene, and communicate effectively. Passion is the ingredient that sets great cooks apart - it ensures every plate is crafted with care. Above all, teamwork and consistency are nonnegotiable, because only when the whole team works in harmony can we deliver unforgettable dining experiences.
How do you see Bahrain’s F&B scene evolving in the next few years?
Bahrain’s food and beverage industry is on the move, and the coming years will see more emphasis on local and Gulf-fusion
flavours, sustainability, and healthconscious menus. Guests are increasingly seeking premium yet casual dining experiences that balance comfort with quality. Technology will also play a bigger role - from delivery innovations to chef collaborations and digital platforms that bring guests closer to the culinary world. Bahrain is ready for a wave of innovation, and I am excited to be part of this transformation.
What inspired you to become a chef, and why steakhouse cuisine?
My passion for cooking began in childhood - I was always fascinated by fire, flavours, and the joy food brings to people. Over time, this grew into a profession I deeply love. The steakhouse captured my heart because of its purity and precision. A steak does not forgive mistakes; it demands skill, patience, and respect for the ingredient. That honesty and challenge are what drew me to specialise in steakhouse cuisine.
What are your personal favourite dishes on the Texas Longhorn and Ourania menus, and why?
At Texas Longhorn & Ourania, my favourites are the Tomahawk Steak and the Wagyu Ribeye - bold, dramatic dishes that embody the spirit of a true steakhouse, and I enjoy the seafood sizzlers, which combine freshness with a touch of flair. But if I had to choose the real pride of our kitchens, it would be our Wagyu and Certified Angus Beef cuts. Wagyu, with its legendary marbling, is a symbol of luxury and perfection, while Certified Angus Beef delivers consistency and flavour every time.
Together, they represent the quality and authenticity we promise our guests. "For young chefs, my message is simplestay patient, stay disciplined, and never stop learning. A kitchen is a place of constant evolution, and passion must always be your fuel. Trends will come and go, but authenticity and dedication will never lose their value. My vision is to keep raising the standards of dining in Bahrain - not just through food, but through experiences that touch the heart. Because at the end of the day, food is not only about taste; it’s about the memory it leaves behind." n

Home Centre's new campaign brings together designer collections and affordable everyday luxury for the bedroom and bathroom.
When was the last time you treated your bedroom or bathroom as more than just functional spaces? For most of us, these are the rooms we rush through - places to get ready for the day or collapse into at night. Home Centre’s new Made to Indulge campaign is asking us to pause and reimagine them as something else entirely: sanctuaries.
Launched on 15 September, Made to Indulge is less about following a trend and more about shifting a mindset. The campaign is built on the belief that a touch of luxury should be part of everyday life, not saved for hotel

Beyond the variety in style, what makes Made to Indulge compelling is the philosophy behind it: indulgence doesn’t need to be expensive or intimidating. The collections are designed with quality and affordability in mind, proving that little luxuries, a textured throw, a set of plush towels, and a burst of colour, can completely shift the mood of a home.
In the end, it’s not just about redecorating. It’s about reclaiming the everyday. With Made to Indulge, Home Centre is nudging home shapers to find pleasure in the details: the feel of soft sheets, the look of a well-made bed, the calm of a bathroom that feels like a retreat. Immersive Dining in Dubai
Nick Cooksey discovers some emerging gems in Dubai’s F&B space.
Dubai's dining scene has almost always been about the spectacle (aside from good food, of course), but my recent trip revealed something different brewing beneath the surface. Four restaurants caught my attention not for their Instagram-worthy gimmicks, but for how they're quietly redefining what immersive dining actually means.

This is a restaurant that understands culture isn't something you manufacture, but something you nurture. The food speaks to their French origins whilst embracing Dubai's cosmopolitan spirit.
GOAT Burger: Passion Project Success
@g.o.a.t.ae
Three friends started GOAT Burger in 2021 with nine staff members and a simple vision. Now they're running a 100-person operation that somehow maintains that original passion. Their approach fascinated me: blending Korean, Japanese, Italian, and American influences without losing focus.
The limited-edition burgers rotating every three months show they understand their audience. These aren't gimmicks; they're genuine innovations from a kitchen that clearly loves experimenting. Even their low-calorie options taste like they were created by people who actually care about flavour.
KUMO:
Zen Meets Dubai
@kumo.uae
Set in a reimagined 80s villa in Al Wasl, KUMO transports you straight to Kyoto. The natural woods, soft lighting, and subtle shoji patterns create a sense of actual tranquillity, which is a welcome surprise in an otherwise busy Dubai. This is immersive dining done right, where the environment enhances rather than overwhelms the food.
Their Japanese cuisine matches the setting's serenity. Each dish is presented with the same intentional, quiet elegance that defines the space itself.
Mama Trattoria: A Community Hub @mamadubaitrattoria
Walking into Mama Shelter felt like discovering Dubai's bestkept secret. This isn't your typical hotel restaurant operation; it's where food, music, and genuine community collide. I spent an afternoon at Mama Trattoria working through their wood-fired pizzas and creamy pastas, watching how effortlessly the space transitions from a family lunch spot to an evening social hub.
The famous brunch deserves its reputation. Live DJs spin whilst you feast on brasserie-style comfort food, and it doesn’t seem theatrical. It's authentic energy, the kind that happens when you get the fundamentals of a “dining experience” right.
A Dining Revolution
These four restaurants prove Dubai's dining scene is maturing beyond flashy concepts. They're creating genuine experiences rooted in community, culture, and most importantly, exceptional food that doesn't need over-the-top gimmicks to impress. n
Uptown Escape
Charlie Cooksey enjoys a five-star escape at the sophisticated SO/ Uptown Dubai.
Irecently discovered SO/ Uptown Dubai, and it exceeded all my expectations. Tucked away in the JLT area near Media City and the Palm, this five-star hotel strikes a perfect balance between luxury and playfulness, reminding me of boutique properties I've loved elsewhere.
After winding up several levels to reach the lobby, I was greeted by a warm and helpful staff who handled everything with efficiency. I'd booked for two nights initially, but with extended work in Dubai, I ended up lengthening my stay by another two days.
Sky-High Luxury with Panoramic Views
My suite on the 41st floor was wonderfully spacious, with floor-toceiling windows framing panoramic views across Dubai. The interiors were immaculately designed, with premium finishes throughout and a bathroom that felt like a sanctuary. Everything was kept pristine during my stay, and the bed was supremely comfortable.
What really impressed me was how the hotel catered to my lifestyle. The breakfast service was fantastic, accommodating my strict dietary requirements without fuss. The gym, perched high in the building, became my favourite morning ritual. Training at sunrise with Dubai stretching out below me was an incredible way to start each day.
A Location That Works for Everyone
The location proved ideal for both business and leisure. I was in Dubai primarily for work, but also managed to
fit in wakeboarding nearby, which speaks to the area's versatility. It's strategically positioned at what they call Dubai's Southern Gate, with access to the city's key destinations whilst maintaining a slightly more relaxed atmosphere than the busier central districts.
I also dined at their Brass restaurant one afternoon and had an exceptional steak that I'd highly recommend. The Atrium area, where you'll find various dining options, including the casual Uptown Social, adds to the hotel's appeal.
Dubai can feel overwhelming with its endless hotel choices, but SO/ Uptown Dubai genuinely works for both business travellers and holidaymakers. It's rare to find a property that serves both audiences so well. ¸about the quality of the experience. n

Canal-side Bliss
Charlie Cooksey recalls his stay at Amsterdam's Avani Museum Quarter over the fall, and joining the city's 750th anniversary revelry.
You're never short of options when it comes to choosing where to stay in Amsterdam. In fact, the sheer number of choices can often feel overwhelming. So you can only imagine my delight at striking gold with the Avani Museum Quarter this summer. From the moment I arrived at the fairly new hotel in the Dutch capital, I knew this trip would be out of the ordinary.
This visit was particularly special as it coincided with Amsterdam celebrating its 750th anniversary. The city has never looked more magnificent, and the Avani Museum Quarter Amsterdam was the perfect base for experiencing this historic milestone.
The location alone was perfect. I was just 500 metres from the museum trifectaRijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.
Having this incredible triple dose of art and culture wasn't all that made the stay and exploring worthwhile. P.C. Hooftstraat's
elegant shops were just beyond, and across the canal, the bohemian charm of De Pijp beckoned with its eclectic restaurants and inviting terrace bars. Everything that makes Amsterdam magical was within easy reach.
A Feast for the Eyes
The building itself is a beautifully refurbished mid-century gem sitting right on the canal. Walking in, I was immediately struck by how the design paid homage to the Stedelijk Museum's collection, blending avant-garde touches with traditional elements.
The gleaming glass façade incorporated Amsterdam's signature brick, giving it a distinctly local feel. Inside, the clean lines and functional furniture created a sense of calm, whilst mirrors and polished surfaces seemed to bring the city's tranquil canals indoors.
What really captivated me were the artistic details everywhere I looked. The geometric patterns and bold block colours in the carpets, tiles and soft furnishings drew inspiration from 20th-century masters like Piet Mondriaan, Anni Albers, Gunta Stolzl and Sophie Taeuber. It felt like staying inside a work of art.
My room was a 1960s-inspired haven, decorated in warm terracotta, mustard yellow and deep browns that echoed Amsterdam's muted tones. It was the perfect retreat after long days exploring the city.
Exploring Minor's Amsterdam Collection
What made this trip even more memorable was the opportunity to explore other Minor Hotels properties across the city. One afternoon, I had lunch at the Anantara in the central square, which was a fantastic experience. The location couldn't have been better, right in the heart of the action.
But the absolute highlight of the entire trip was dinner at Selva, a spectacular Latin American restaurant on the rooftop of NHOW Amsterdam. The hotel's name is a playful nod to NH Collection, Minor's global hotel brand named after its Spanish origins. I arrived just before sunset, grabbed drinks at the bar, then settled in for what turned out to be an unforgettable meal. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere electric, and the company brilliant. I was travelling with some wonderful journalists from Dubai and Abu Dhabi, which added to the experience.
Discovering Amsterdam's Stories
Throughout the trip, I was fortunate to spend time with Jens, the Belgian General Manager of Avani, who was incredibly
hospitable and accompanied us as we explored the city. We also had tour guides whose knowledge of Amsterdam was simply extraordinary. I'd point to a random building and they'd launch into its complete history without missing a beat.
This wasn't just about staying in a hotel. I explored parts of Amsterdam I'd never seen before, learned about the intricate canal system and how it was built, delved into the Netherlands' colonial history, and discovered countless hidden stories of this remarkable city. The combination of experiencing Minor's properties whilst really understanding Amsterdam's 750-year heritage made this trip truly special.
Amsterdam is undeniably beautiful, and staying at the Avani Museum Quarter put me right at the heart of everything that makes it extraordinary. It was more than accommodation; it was an experience that enhanced every moment of my visit.n

Food Adventure for One
Deepika Rao explores Vienna's café culture and Budapest's spice-forward cuisine.
Flying solo from Bahrain to Vienna and Budapest for the first time, I had set one priority for myself: to explore the local food. Ten days later? These cities proved that the best way to have a satisfying European adventure is through your taste buds.
Vienna: Classic Comforts
Vienna welcomed me like a warm hug wrapped in baroque architecture. The city moves at a gentler pace than most others, which is perfect when you're exploring alone, especially if you liken yourself to a Jane Austen character. The inner city or Innere Stadt is completely walkable, and there's a café every few steps - handy when you need a break or somewhere to figure out your next move.
My first meal was at Naschmarkt, a popular street market brimming with eateries and drinkeries, fruit vendors, eclectic shops, and a youthful vibe. The schnitzel at Papa's in this marketplace is worth the hype. The dish is a large, thin piece of breaded meat (veal, chicken, or beef) that arrives hot, golden, and crispy. Fair warning: one serving could easily feed two people, so if you’re like me, travelling solo, be properly hungry before treating yourself to a schnitzel.
Vienna's coffee culture is the real deal. Order a Melange (similar to a cappuccino but milder) and you'll understand why locals spend entire afternoons in cafés. I paired it with an apfelstrudel (Apple Strudel) at Demel, a confectionery that's been perfecting its recipes created for Austria’s royalty since 1786.
Budapest: Bold Flavours
Budapest has a completely different energy. It’s vibrant, fast, and abundant in experiences, whether you’re taking in views of the city from the Fishermen’s Bastion or enjoying a wellness dose at the Thermal Baths. A walk across the Danube River lands you in either the historic Buda side or the modern, happening Pest side. Needless to say, the food options are plenty across the city. If you enjoy spicy food, Hungarian cuisine will win you over quickly. The beef goulash at Frici Papa is one I would recommend everyone to try - rich, warming, with just enough paprika to wake up the taste buds.
Lángos at Retro Lángos was a revelation. Fresh fried bread topped with sour cream and cheese sounds simple, but it's absolutely satisfying. Alternate it with Chicken Paprikash if you’re looking for a spicier option - either way, it’s a hearty speciality of Hungary and needs to be on your food bucket list.
You'll find equally good versions at Karavan, an outdoor food court where different vendors park their trucks. It's brilliant when you simply can't decide where to eat.
Quick detour from food talk: Budapest's ruin bars are absolutely worth your time. These former abandoned buildings turned watering holes have a lot of character - mismatched furniture, fairy lights, graffiti on the walls, and crowds that know how to have a good time. Szimpla Kert gets all the tourist attention

Apfelstrudel at Demel Vienna
Melange at Demel Vienna
(for good reason), but Koleves Kert was my personal favourite.
The Takeaways (Pun Intended)
Portions are generous enough to feed two people, so one schnitzel or lángos easily became my entire meal for the day. When I needed lighter options, falafel sandwiches and Greek gyros (with Hungarian spices) were readily available.
Both cities are perfect for solo travellers - safe, walkable, with reliable public transport. A quick online search reveals restaurants for any budget, and wandering the streets builds the perfect appetite.
Whether you prefer Vienna's elegance or Budapest's vibrant energy, you'll eat exceptionally well. n

The Ultimate All-Rounder
Porsche's most powerful 911 ever combines revolutionary T-Hybrid technology with everyday usability for the ultimate driving experience.
Some cars make you choose between face-melting performance and civilised daily driving. The new Porsche 911 Turbo S refuses such compromises. This isn't just another model update; it's the arrival of the most powerful production 911 ever built, and it's rewriting the rules of what a supercar can be.
Available as both coupé and cabriolet, this automotive masterpiece delivers supercar thrills without the supercar drama. As Frank Moser, Vice President of the 911 and 718 model line, puts it: "the most complete and versatile form of driving a Porsche 911."
Available as both coupé and cabriolet, this automotive masterpiece delivers supercar thrills without the supercar drama.
The T-Hybrid Powertrain
At the heart of the new Turbo S lies an innovative twin-turbo T-Hybrid system producing 523 kW (711 PS) and 800 Nm of torque. That's 61 PS more than its predecessor, making this the most powerful 911 to date.
The system uses two electric exhaust gas turbochargers instead of the single unit found in the 911 Carrera GTS. These specially designed turbos boost both power and responsiveness, whilst a lightweight 1.9 kWh battery powers the 400V system. Performance figures are staggering. The Turbo S coupé rockets from 0-100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and hits 200 km/h in 8.4 seconds. Top speed reaches 322 km/h.
Despite carrying 85 kg more weight due to hybrid components, the new car is dramatically faster on track. At the Nürburgring Nordschleife, it lapped in 7:03.92 minutes, a massive 14 seconds quicker than its predecessor.
Track-Ready Engineering
Every system has been upgraded to handle the extra performance. The rear axle now runs 325/30 ZR 21 tyres (10mm wider than before) and the front keeps 255/35 ZR 20 rubber. The standard ceramic brake system features the largest discs ever
fitted to a two-door Porsche: 420mm front and 410mm rear. Active aerodynamics work intelligently to reduce drag by 10% or increase downforce as needed. The electro-hydraulic Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control comes standard, using the hybrid's 400V system for faster response whilst maintaining comfort for daily driving.
Visual changes include new Turbonite colour accents exclusive to Turbo models. The wider body gets redesigned rear ventilation openings, whilst titanium exhaust pipes save 6.8 kg.
Luxury and Personalisation
The new titanium sports exhaust system creates a soundtrack specifically composed for the Turbo S. Internal engine modifications add extra frequencies to the 3.6-litre boxer engine, creating that distinctive throaty growl that makes every journey memorable.
The interior showcases Porsche's attention to detail. Carbonstructured trim strips with neodyme accents and a perforated microfibre headliner create an exclusive atmosphere. Turbo S-specific embossing on seats connects past and present.
For those wanting even more exclusivity, options include lightweight carbon elements and exclusive design touches throughout. The Paint to Sample programme offers over 100 exterior colours, ensuring no two cars need to look alike.
Porsche has even created a matching timepiece through their Design Configurator, allowing owners to wear a "sports car for the wrist" that perfectly matches their Turbo S.
The 911 Turbo S continues its tradition of being the ultimate everyday supercar, now with hybrid assistance, making it faster, more efficient, and more desirable than ever. n

Rolls-Royce presents Cullinan
Cosmos: a one-of-a-kind commission inspired by space
When a family wanted to share their love of the cosmos with their four-year-old son, they turned to Rolls-Royce. The result is Cullinan Cosmos, a one-of-a-kind commission that transforms the wonder of outer space into a drivable work of art.
“We wanted to create something our family would remember forever: a Rolls-Royce that captures the essence of the cosmos and shows that no dream is out of reach,” said the Commissioning Client of the Cullinan Cosmos.
Exterior: Moonlit Elegance
The exterior shimmers in Arabescato Pearl, recalling moonlight across a midnight sky. A hand-painted coachline in Charles Blue traces the car's silhouette, whilst the Illuminated Spirit of Ecstasy glows softly after dark.
Interior: A Celestial Sanctuary
Inside, you'll find a serene sanctuary. Reclining seats are dressed in Charles Blue and Grace White leather, whilst Piano White veneers add a crisp, technical edge. Working with Rolls-Royce designers, the family created a unique Star Cluster motif, embroidered on door panels and headrests, and hand-painted on the fascia.
“Space travel is an enduring fascination for the commissioning clients of this extraordinary one-of-one motor car. For the Bespoke Collective, this project also explored new frontiers, with our first-ever hand-painted Starlight Headliner. Bold in its conception and spectacular in its realisation, this commission
demonstrates how Rolls-Royce brings clients’ otherworldly visions to life with drama, depth, and absolute precision,” said Phil Fabre de la Grange, Head of Bespoke, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
The crowning achievement is the first fully hand-painted Starlight Headliner ever created for a Rolls-Royce. Over 160 hours, an inhouse artist painted an ethereal interpretation of the Milky Way entirely freehand.
Cloud formations required more than 20 applications of acrylic paint. For the softest mist effect, the artist used a makeup brush. Stars were created using fine brushes and speckling techniques. Only then were fibre-optic perforations positioned by hand to follow the artwork's contours.
Commissioned through Private Office Dubai and delivered for a special occasion, Cullinan Cosmos transforms every journey into a voyage through the stars.n
