RANCHO SANTA FE, CA

Lisa Blackstone

ALPHARETTA, GA

My occupation is: Attorney. I got started in the horse industry: When my mother introduced Arabian horses to me as a child. I have been showing them ever since. My home horse activities include: Having two horses in training with a professional, one Purebred Country gelding and one HalfArabian English mare. I most enjoy judging when: I have a big group of excellent horses to evaluate. My worst experience judging was: Early on in my career (before I got my card) judging a big class of Pintos in an open show. When I reversed them they looked completely different! I hadn't thought that through and had to scramble to find my winners.

OSHAWA, ON

LINCOLN, CA

I got started in the horse industry: After I graduated from college and became assistant manager at an Equestrian facility.

I got started in the horse industry: When my parents bought a horse for me, out of the newspaper, when I was 12 years old.

My home horse activities include: Operating a boarding/training facility as well as freelance coaching/clinics, and breeding.

My home horse activities include: Helping manage our small ranch and business, Doran Show Stables, LLC.

I most enjoy judging when: The show management and staff are well-organized, and the weather and ring conditions are suitable.

I most enjoy judging when: Exhibitors are friendly, sportsman like, and having a good time.

My worst experience judging was: Judging on a weekend full of rain and thunderstorms that delayed the show, and then caused many scratches due to poor ring conditions.

Robin Brueckmann

My worst experience judging was: While I was learner judging and waiting for the first class of the day to enter the arena. The bird sitting in the rafters must have had a large breakfast that morning. Boy, did my mentor judge sure get a kick out of that...
