

My Academic Report Performance Criteria
Student Performance
The College reports on five indicators of student performance, with teachers rating a performance using the numbers 5 to 1 (Excellent, Good, Inconsistent, Poor and or Very poor) The table below provides a description of each criterion’s rating
It is important to read these when interpreting the report You will note in reading the descriptors that all students should be aiming for either Excellent (5) or Good (4)
Performance
Indicators 5 Excellent: No reservations
Punctuality and Preparedness
degree to which student is prepared for start of class with correct equipment and resources Gets to work right away rather than procrastinating
Organisation and work completion
Degree to which student work is well organised and complete
Student always ready for class to commence with equipment and resources Gets to work immediately An excellent example to those around him
4 Good: Minor reservations 3 Inconsistent: With reservations
Student usually ready for start of class to commence with all required equipment and resources With few exceptions student gets to work immediately
Student has excellent organisational skills His files are always of the highest standard with class notes, reviews and homework completed
Student is well organised Evidence of a consistent effort in completing class notes, lesson reviews and homework activities
Student usually ready for start of class to commence however too often without required equipment and resources Will occasionally fail to get on with work
Student can be organised however inconsistent in his organisation of class notes, lesson reviews and homework
2 Poor: Serious reservations, improvement required
Student usually has required equipment and resources Student however usually does not get on with work
1 Very poor: Many serious reservations, urgent improvement required.
Student is usually not ready for class to commence and too often without required equipment and resources
Requires greater effort with his organisation with gaps in evidence of class notes, lesson reviews and homework activities existing in student files
Work is mostly disorganized and incomplete Requires immediate attention

Attitude, Effort and Behaviour
Degree of interest, motivation and application, for subject Degree to which student behaves in class, pays attention cooperates resists distractions, follows directions, and is a positive influence
Homework
Degree to which student completes homework to the required standard and hands work in on time

Student is dedicated to his studies; his level of application is beyond reproach The student’s behaviour is outstanding and provides an excellent example to those around him
Homework is always completed to an excellent standard and meets deadlines; results reflect established, effective study routines.
The student always seeks feedback on work sample or practice question and reviews processes based on feedback received by the teacher Student always completes detailed assessment reflections in SEQTA learn with sufficient detail to assist their future revision
4 Good: Minor reservations 3 Inconsistent: With reservations
Student demonstrates a consistent level of application and is eager to learn The student always behaves in an appropriate manner and is a positive influence on the class
Homework is usually completed on time to a good standard; results reflect established study routines
The student consistently makes attempts to seek feedback on work samples or practice questions Student consistently completes assessment reflections in SEQTA learn, but with minimal detail
Student usually applies himself, but efforts are irregular General level of application requires greater consistency Behaviour is usually good however, at times, he can be distracted too easily
Homework can be completed to a good standard but inconsistent; results suggest scope for more effective study routines
The student usually provides some evidence that they have reviewed and reflected upon their assessments; and followed up with their teacher for clarification Student usually completes assessment reflections in SEQTA learn The quality of the reflection requires review
2 Poor: Serious reservations, improvement required
Student is not applying himself fully and will not achieve his potential The student is easily distracted and behaviour is often unsatisfactory He must address these concerns
Homework has too often not been completed to a good standard; more effective study routines required
Has a poor approach to engaging in learning conversations in class and reviewing of learning goals Student poorly completes assessment reflections in SEQTA learn and the quality of the reflection is below expectations
1 Very poor: Many serious reservations, urgent improvement required.
Student is not applying himself; he lacks interest and dedication Student’s classroom behaviour is unsatisfactory Has a negative influence on those around him
Homework has regularly not been completed to a satisfactory standard on a number of occasions.
