WORLD NEWS

Water Park Visitors Party In Style Thanks To EVA Optic EVA Optic LED lights are giving swimming pools the wow factor thanks to spectacular colour ranges and music compatibility. In the Netherlands, Dutch manufacturer EVA Optic recently supplied over 200 lights to achieve a show-stopping effect in the Aquafun water park at the Den Bosch Sportiom complex. Within the facility’s fun pool area, dozens of EVA Optic A6 RGBW and A12 RGBW underwater lights were installed below the surface, while EVA Optic Hydra spotlights and Pendant lights were mounted to illuminate multiple areas. An easy-to-use DMX control panel allows the lighting to be pre-programmed and at the touch of a button all the lights – above and below the surface – change in time to music. “The attractions, the audio, the video images on the screen and the RGBW surface and underwater lighting all come together beautifully,” said Project Leader Leo Lorijn from contractor Betuwtech. “The RGBW lighting from EVA Optic is clear and promotes visibility, so supervisors can enjoy the bright

colours while maintaining proper supervision over the pool and its surroundings.” In the UK, EVA Optic lights are available exclusively through wet leisure distributor Golden Coast. “EVA Optic’s RGBW lighting is extremely versatile,” said Shaun Adams, Director at Golden Coast. “Connecting the lights to music means you can turn any pool into a great party area and create amazing effects.” All EVA Optic lights are made to international safety standards and are built to withstand the aggressive corrosion from airborne chloramines, as well as the punishing heat of the pool environment. This durability means EVA lights maintain their mechanical integrity and aesthetics in the long-term, ensuring minimal maintenance and downtime. Golden Coast 01271 378100 www.goldenc.com

Laghetto Prepares To Take The Leap To The USA And Australia Laghetto, the Fluidra division for Italiandesigned high-end above-ground pools, finds itself in full swing in preparation to continue growing. It is working proactively to adapt one of its pool ranges to regulations in Australia and the United States. The aim is to be able to start marketing them there from next year. In this process of adaptation to continue on the path of stable growth, the company has completed the implementation of the ‘Lean’ management model that will drive production by cutting down superfluous costs. The adoption of this methodology is in line with the company’s goals of continuous and sustainable margin improvements. The method also makes it possible to improve worker safety conditions, boost productivity, and enhance product quality, a major step in modernising the company and fostering its competitiveness. Laghetto opened a new 2,500 sq metre warehouse in January to step up its response capacity to meet the strong rise in demand for its high-end aboveground pools. Thus, it continues to stride ahead in its growth process. Following a 19% sales rise in 2020, helped by the ‘stay at home’ effect created by the pandemic, signs for 2021 suggest another very good year for pools. Due to the exceptional demand again this year, the brand, which is one of world leaders in above-ground designer pools, saw the orders received in comparison with last year multiply, which has meant that – in line with what is happening in the whole sector – stock has run out until autumn.
