ith demand for swimming pools proving to be surprisingly resilient given the economic backdrop, one-piece and fibreglass pools have remained as some of the leading options for pool projects due to their ticking of many of the boxes for both consumers and the trade. The promise of convenience is arguably their biggest draw. Whether it is the initial choosing of one, the promised delivery times, their relatively straightforward and speedy installation or the fact that a lot of the fittings and equipment are in place and ready to go direct from the factory – pools of this type definitely provide a quick, more straightforward and lower stress pool build solution that also results in minimal disruption too. Add in a wide range of options, stunning modern looks, competitive pricing, low ongoing maintenance costs, peace of mind warranties… the list goes on and for a large percentage of clients who have the need for a swimming pool, there’s a suitable one-piece option on offer. So, as a complete package, for most aspiring owners and of course, for pool installers too, it’s no great surprise that they have being widely welcomed and are increasingly embraced. There’s now such a wide range of models, colours, access options and finishing choices that pools can be customised to meet the needs of even the most demanding of customers. Putting aside requirements for a really specific, unusual design or unique shape, it’s difficult to identify any real downsides to the proposition of a one-piece pool, a swimming solution suitable for a wide range of environments. Even installation sites with access challenges are rarely an issue thanks to an array of creative delivery methods, plus further options to split some pools and join them together once on site. In short, one-piece pools provide an impressive and hard to ignore list of benefits versus other more traditional pool options and

for many, they are a tempting option that is just too hard to ignore. Here, we take a closer look at some of what’s on offer in the UK for the 2025 season and beyond.
ASTRALPOOL’S HAMPSHIRE ONE-PIECE POOL OFFERS PEACE OF MIND AstralPool are already well known for their modular pools, with them being the undisputed world leader in those made of galvanised and stainless steel pools. However, their offering is extended further with the addition of a range of one-piece pools manufactured from high quality polymer. Known as ‘The Hampshire’, the range is available is three sizes; 6m x 3m, 7m x 3m and 8m x 3m (all with a constant depth of 1.5m). The design of The Hampshire creates a minimalist transition between the pool wall and the water run off whilst maintaining the maximum water level. This is achieved thanks to the uniquely designed skimmer which sits
at the rear of the pool. With the pool fully prefabricated, a onepiece pool is one of the quickest and easiest ways to construct a pool. The Hampshire range comes complete with all the required AstralPool fittings, as well as LED lighting and built in steps for easy access to and from the pool.
