GenoMar to supply genetically improved tilapia in Colombia GenoMar Genetics AS signed a joint venture agreement with Agroavícola Sanmarino S.A., a Colombian poultry genetics distribution company belonging to the Italcol group. The agreement includes the establishment of a new company in the next few weeks, named GenoMar Genetics Colombia. The joint venture will distribute tilapia genetics in the form of fingerlings and juveniles from a high-quality biosecure land-based facility in Colombia’s Huila province.

AquaGen opens breeding center in Scotland AquaGen Scotland officially opened the Holywood Breeding Center, near Dumfries. The company acquired the hatchery in March 2019 and has invested more than £5 million. The acquisition of the Holywood Breeding Center enables the company to provide a reliable supply of eggs from AquaGen broodstock, which are reared in and selected for best performance in the Scottish farmed environment.
