Amelia Zafra Córdoba, Spain (1982) She has contributed to the development of models for predicting student academic performance and predictive machine maintenance models. Her main research interests focus on the development and progress of artificial intelligence techniques and their application to health, industry and education. She is graduated with honors in Computer Science and she earned her Ph.D. degree with honors from the University of Granada. Currently, she is associate professor in the Department of Computer Science and Numerical Analysis of the University of Córdoba. She belongs to the Knowledge Discovery and Intelligent Systems (KDIS) research group and is a member of the Andalusian Interuniversity Institute in Data Science and Computational Intelligence (DaSCI). The work developed is reflected in more than 90 scientific publications. She has participated in more than 35 research projects and educational innovation projects. She has contributed to the development of prediction models for students' academic performance and the development of predictive maintenance models that make it possible to predict the failure of machinery. In the health field, she has contributed to the development of proposals that address therapies for developmental disorders in children.
Aurora Gil de Castro Córdoba, Spain (1985) She does research on power quality in electrical networks, especially in lighting systems based on LED technology PhD in Industrial Electronics and Automation Engineering, and Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering, Universidad de Córdoba, Spain. She is coordinator of the Doctoral Program in Advanced Computation, Energy and Plasmas from UCO, and researcher atR&D Group Industrial Electronics and Instrumentation. She is part of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) been Senior Member, chapter coordinator at IEEE Spanish Section and treasure in IEEE WIE Spain. She has participated in more than 15 R&D projects and contracts. She is currently project leader of a research project funded by thecMinistry of Science and Innovation. She has published more than 100 publications (32 journal papers indexed in JCR), and she has supervised 4 doctoral thesis and more than 20 bachelor’s and master’s final projects.
