The print edition of Why Density? is a set of tools created by a+t research group in order to build the dense city. These involve practical urban-level concepts applied to specific cases. The publication includes the analysis of an urban plan, a catalogue of 36 specific collective housing forms and an in-depth graphic analysis of 3 paradigmatic cases: the Mirador building (MVRD & BLANCA LLEÓ), CiBoGa Schots 1+2 (S333) and 8 House (BIG). The publication incorporates all the scales of density: from the urban plan to the housing unit, including those subjective components which contribute to improving life in the city. All the illustrations have been done specifically for this publication.
