Mooncakes originated in the late Yuan Dynasty (14th century). They were used to hide notes notifying people of the uprising, in order to deliver the message secretly. They are usually made of salted egg yolks and a lotus seed paste.
I have experience making traditional mooncakes. Here are some photos of the mooncakes that I made.
Snow skin mooncakes, my personal favorite type of mooncake, originates from Hong Kong. These mooncakes aren’t baked in ovens and are served cold. Furthermore, they have a variety of flavors, similar to ice cream.

A Yomari is a conical shaped food item of Newari community of Nepal that has a sweet taste. The outer skin is soft and white in color, while the chaku filling is brown like chocolate. The food item Yomari goes quite far in the history of Nepal.

また、APCCの参加国である「キリバス共和国」では、気候変動 による海面上昇で、国土が失われつつある、という問題を紹介し たり、現在国連で働く元・こども大使のOBたちから、環境問題を めぐり、世界では今どのように取り組んでいるのかについて、話を聞 きました。

参加者からの感想 Real Voice from the Participants 今回、23か国・地域と、福岡より、約200名のこども達が、 このブリッジバーチャルサマーキャンプに参加しました。 ここでは、参加したこども達や保護者の皆様からの感想を ご紹介します。 初めて海外に住む同じ年の友達 が出来ました。とてもうれしいです。 コロナであまり楽しい夏休みを過 ごせないと思っていましたが、 APCCに参加したことで楽しい夏 休みになりました。 （小学５年生） 最初は、「英語がわかるかな …？」と、心配していたのですが、 それを超える楽しさや嬉しさが あって本当に楽しかったです！ 海外の子ども大使の友達もた くさんできて、また来年もやりた くなりました。 （小学４年生）
同じ年齢の海外の子供達との交流は娘にとって初めての経験 でした。お友達もでき、その子の国や文化にも興味を持つなど、 とても良い経験をさせていただけました。 一気に海外に目が向きはじめ、 貧困問題やユニセフについて 調べ、自分の意見を話す姿を 見て、APCCの参加がいかに大 きな経験になったのか実感しま した。素晴らしい貴重な経験 をさせていただき、本当に感謝 しています。 なんとなくコロナで悪いイメージ を持ってしまっていた中国に対 し、感情の変化があったようで す。昨年から実際に中国の子 供とふれ合い、「友達になりた い！」と感じたようで、オンライ ンでメッセージを送っておりまし た。また、学校で日本語が話 せない中国からの転校生と、 英語やジェスチャー、覚えたて の中国語を用いて、張り切っ てコミュニケーションをがんばっ ています。 限られた時間でしたが、自分から積極的に関わろうという前向き さを感じることができ、参加させていただいて本当に良かったと 思っています。
