I have experience making traditional mooncakes. Here are some photos of the mooncakes that I made.

Snow skin mooncakes, my personal favorite type of mooncake, originates from Hong Kong. These mooncakes aren’t baked in ovens and are served cold. Furthermore, they have a variety of flavors, similar to ice cream.

Mooncakes originated in the late Yuan Dynasty (14th century). They were used to hide notes notifying people of the uprising, in order to deliver the message secretly. They are usually made of salted egg yolks and a lotus seed paste.

Formula: Converted syrup, soap water, peanut oil, medium gluten flour, lotus paste filling, salted duck egg yolk, egg yolk Method: 1. Add soap water to the converted syrup and stir evenly. Add peanut oil and stir to emulsify 2. Add medium gluten flour, knead well, and let the cling film relax at room temperature for 2 hours 3.
