He lives in Mexico City. Carlos Gay Garc铆a graduated as a Physicist, in the School of Sciences at the Universidad Nacional Aut贸noma de M茅xico (UNAM), in 1968. He studied a PhD in Astrogeophysics at the Colorado University, US. Since 2001, Carlos Gay is the Director of the Atmospheric Sciences Center of the UNAM. He is a coordinator of the Latin American chapter of the Fourth Report of Evaluation of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Carlos Gay pioneers the study of the climate change effects in Mexico. He has developed an innovative multidisciplinary and integral approach that has made his works on vulnerability, impact evaluation and adjustment measurements a basic reference.
