AFTER-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES Seed to Plate (2nd-3rd grade) Time: 3:30-5:00 PM Instructors: Tiffany Utterson and Amy Airhart (AOS parents) Cost: $365/semester Seed to Plate makes healthy food fun through comprehensive, experiential learning. This program introduces students to the entire cycle of food along with taste and flavor combinations, techniques, nutrition awareness, and skills that will serve them for a lifetime. Students participate in gardening activities and cooking with plants from the AOS rooftop garden. Seed to Plate students will learn: 1) New, delicious, and nutritious recipes, 2) How to plan and prepare healthy meals, 3) Organic gardening and plant life cycles, 4) Basic culinary skills and kitchen safety. Drama (3rd-4th grade) Time: 3:30-4:30 PM Instructor: Kiki Przewlocki Cost: $340/semester After-school Drama offers a group experience rich in creative, theatrical exploration. Students experience a spectrum of imaginative and inventive dramatic fun including improvisation games, scene making, informal presentations, and performance scripts. Lego (K-4th grade) Time: 3:30-4:30 PM Instructor: Sally Douglas & Susan Grygiel Cost: $340/semester After-school Lego is for creative students who have fun building with Lego pieces. Lego activities range in scope and include several STEM-related explorations such as building Lego zip-lines, constructing Lego-erupting volcanoes, building Lego skyscrapers, and launching Lego hot air balloons. Students are also exposed to the use of robotics using the WeDo app. Â
