Aprovechando la visita a Chile del arquitecto norteamericano Charles Renfro, auspiciada por la AOA, Rodrigo Tisi, decano de arquitectura de la UNIACC, conversó con él sobre el trabajo de Diller Scofidio + Renfro y sus reflexiones en torno a la arquitectura, el arte y el mundo de performance. Uno de los objetivos de la AOA es abrirse a la arquitectura joven. Así, la sección Concursos destaca dos importantes certámenes dirigidos a estudiantes y arquitectos recién recibidos. En ambos la AOA participó como jurado. El grupo Arquitectura Caliente promueve y organiza el Concurso Nacional de Proyectos de Título; publicamos el proyecto ganador, de Alexis Berczely de la Universidad Finis Terrae. Por su parte, del tradicional Concurso CAP para Estudiantes de Arquitectura, publicamos los tres primeros lugares. En esta línea, hacemos un llamado a oficinas de arquitectos jóvenes a enviarnos proyectos para publicar. Conocer y compartir la creación de quienes comienzan sin duda enriquece el ejercicio de nuestra profesión.
The feature article in this issue of AOA Magazine gathers the works of Rodulfo Oyarzún Philippi, multidimensional professional trained in Europe and a pioneer in the promotion of modernist architecture in the country in the early 30s. That is what the present compilation shows, done by his daughter Paulina Oyarzún Fuentes, architect like him, engineer and academic researcher. Taking advantage of the AOA sponsored visit to Chile by American architect Charles Renfro, Rodrigo Tisi, dean of architecture at UNIACC university spoke with him about the work of Diller Scofidio + Renfro and his thoughts on architecture, art and the world of performance.

El artículo central de Revista AOA recoge la obra de Rodulfo Oyarzún Philippi, multifacético profesional formado en Europa y pionero en promover la arquitectura moderna en el país, a comienzos de los años 30. Es lo que muestra la recopilación realizada por su hija Paulina Oyarzún Fuentes, arquitecta como él, ingeniera e investigadora docente.
One of the objectives of the AOA is to open up to young architecture. Consequently the Competitions section highlights two important contests aimed at students and recently licensed architects, both of which had the AOA as jury. The Hot Architecture group promotes and organizes the National Degree Projects Competition. We publish the winning proposal by Alexis Berczely from Universidad Finis Terrae. On the other hand we present the three main prizes of the traditional CAP Competition for Architecture Students. In this regard, we call on offices formed by young architects to submit projects for publication. To get to know and to share the creation of those who start their careers undoubtedly enriches the practice of our profession.
