DESCRIPTION AND MAIN FEATURES OF THE DIGITAL TOOL:

FlipaClip is an easy-to-use free frame-by-frame App to create 2D animation films. It’s a very easy tool to use and it provides high quality videos. You can create your own animation project with FlipaClip, with your mobile devices. All you need is your imagination!

To use this App you need to upload it your mobile phone or tablet. It is available for both IOS and Android. You can use it to create and edit films. This App can be used by students and teachers.

HOW TO USE IT:

Download it you a mobile phone and start creating. Plan what you want to record beforehand. Start drawing! You can use your finger to draw or an appropriated pen.You will draw frame-byframe your film. Be aware that 12 pages in FlipaClip is 1 second of your film.

Imagine a Flipbook and draw multiple pictures. At the end you “flip” the pages and create movement. Once you are finished you can share the film with others, by exporting your creation.

PROS AND CONS: PROS:

It’s a lightweight App.

In a few minutes, you can create an animation video.

It’s simple. You need a mobile phone.

It’s engaging. Students are invited to create their own content.

It´s motivating for students that love to draw. Creating videos in your classroom is free.

All created content is unique and creative

CONS:

You have a watermark in the free version (By default. But it is on the corner of the video.). Students that are not so confident about their drawing skills, might be demotivated. Start small and simple. Ask them to begin with simple objects or letters. Only on mobile devices.
