The second step refers to the knowledge of the Etheric Body, the concrete representation of our permeating vital energy. Vital energy goes hand in hand with our survival instinct, which is clear in our ability to adapt to the surrounding environment. Evaluating our energies and learning how to mange them is not an easy task, yet it is doable.
The third step is the knowledge of the Astral Body, the vehicle of our soul. Therefore, we examine the emotional processes, what happens inside when external circumstances provoke feelings and moods. This goal is even more difficult to achieve than the previous ones. Both the organs and vital energy can be somehow measured and quantified, feelings and emotions can have such complex nuances to make impossible their definitions.
The fourth and last ascending step of the journey is Consciousness of Oneself, this is an intrinsic aspct of the Causal Body. Our self consciousness means knowing exactly who we are, why we have become in such a way, what might have tarnished our real personality. As a consequence, it will require us to make an agreement with the previously listed elements, eventually it it will ask us to remain loyal to such an agreement, whatever happens. To put it simply: after discovering who we are, we will strive to achieve the best for ourselves. In order to make this leap in quality we would need to do our research, cataloguing all the data received, and analysing them in depth. It is not an impossible task, in fact it would be in our best interest to do it with full commitment.
