Getting To Know Reggie Perry
His dedication, commitment, competitiveness, goals and his winning attitude What motivates you to reach your highest potential? My biggest motivation is family. They are my biggest supporters as well. When I see my parents working, it gives me the drive to be like them. Their dedication to working is what motivates me to be like them. They are self-motivated individuals which is why I try to emulate their positivism into my life. I have learned from my father coaching high school and college basketball on how to not give up in a game no matter how it looked. This really excites me to take up greater challenges and risks without the fear of failure or backing out. My mother is the source of calm confidence. Knowing exactly where to push hard and where to slow down is something I have gotten from her. They remain my go-to people, when I feel under the weather or less motivated.
What drives your passion for sports?
I think you can learn so much from sports. From teamwork, being a facilitator, discipline, time management, etc. it just makes you a warrior. I believe it prepares you for whatever may come your way in life.
If you could play another sport what would it be? Football, either quarterback or a wide receiver; because I throw the football pretty accurate or wide receiver, because I think I’m pretty fast.
What are the essential qualities for the position you play?
I think being able to have the nose for the ball to rebound. Also, being able to score in multiple areas and being able to make great passes. Most importantly, being able to defend multiple positions are the essential qualities for my position.
Who is your favorite Sports hero?
My favorite sports hero is LeBron James. He is dominant on and off the court.
