Palirria-Souliotis S.A. is a high quality ready meals producing company, founded in the late fifties as a family oriented business. Today, Palirria S.A. is the leading brand for ready meals in Greece. It also has a significant presence in the markets of Germany, U.K., France, Russia, U.S.A., Australia, the Middle East, as well as in more than 40 countries around the world. The company aims at producing delicious, preservative free, healthy dishes, inspired by traditional Greek recipes, while using the purest ingredients. The product packaging is easy to use, store and carry, and thus, allows consumption both in and out of the house with great convenience. Palirria-Souliotis S.A. is technologically up-to-date and continuously carries out extensive Research and Development studies in order to offer a unique taste and the best possible quality products to its customers worldwide. This is Palirria’s goal: Sharing with you our passion for Great Greek Food!


History

In 1957, in a small village of Evia island called Politika, Antonis Souliotis founded a ready meals family oriented business. At that time, the company’s specialties were Vine leaves stuffed with rice and Baked giant beans in tomato sauce. During the following years, his sons Kostas and Vassilis transformed the company from a small family business into the Greek leading company of ready meals of today. Alongside with the quality of the ingredients and the traditional recipes, constant innovation and the use of the most recent technological equipment has been the secret of their success. Important dates: In 1989 begins the construction of the new modern factory which was completed in 1992 and is fully operational since then. In 1995 Palirria becomes the first ready meals company in Greece that is certified with ISO and in 1998 it is again the first company to acquire the HACCP certification, followed by the Quality BRC and IFS certificates some years later. In 2000 Palirria Bulgaria Ltd. is founded.


Factory

Palirria S.A.’s facilities are amongst the newest in Europe. The company has invested in the most recent and modern production equipment available. The factory’s equipment is annually upgraded. Having over 8.000 m2 facilities, Palirria has reached a production capacity of 16.000 tons per shift per year. Its quality assurances (ISO 9001:2008, ISO 22000, BRC 5 – Grade A, IFS 5 – Higher Level), contemporary systems as well as its computing and quality controls guarantee its products to be of the highest standard. More than 120 employees are working daily under the strict supervision of highly trained personnel in order to assure the premium quality of its products while meeting the strictest hygienic demands. Same applies to Palirria Bulgaria Ltd., the subsidiary of Palirria S.A. in Nova Zagora/Bulgaria that occupies 550 employees in its 6.000m2 facilities.
