Dear Esteemed Supporter,
We are thrilled to invite you to Anixter Center’s 1920s-themed celebration, Roaring into Transformation. This special evening is dedicated to advancing our mission of empowering individuals with disabilities to live, learn, work, and thrive in the community. Your participation will help drive meaningful change for those we serve.
Over the past year, Anixter Center has achieved remarkable milestones across our three core service areas: mental health, intellectual and developmental disability services, and services for Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing individuals. We provided essential mental health support to those in need, empowered individuals with developmental disabilities to live independently, and offered specialized resources to help individuals navigate the unique challenges of hearing loss. Through these efforts, our work has positively impacted thousands of lives.
These accomplishments are a testament to the power of community and the generosity of supporters like you.
By sponsoring Roaring into Transformation, you become an integral part of our mission to expand these vital services. Your support fuels programs that foster independence, resilience, and connection, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Together, we can continue to make a lasting impact, transforming lives and creating a more inclusive world.
Join us for an evening of elegance and purpose, where the spirit of the Roaring Twenties meets the heart of Anixter Center’s mission. Thank you for helping us build a future filled with opportunity and empowerment.

Founded in 1919 in response to the orphan crisis caused by the 1918 flu pandemic, Anixter Center has a long history of service. Over the decades, we have grown and evolved to meet the changing needs of the community. Through it all, Anixter Center has remained committed to enriching lives and uplifting the communities it serves.
In 1997, we strengthened our impact by merging with the Chicago Hearing Society (CHS), expanding our reach and services.
While our programs have evolved, our commitment to serving individuals who might not otherwise afford essential services remains steadfast. We focus on bridging critical gaps with compassion, innovation, and unwavering dedication, ensuring support reaches those who need it most.
Anixter’s mission is to provide services that enhance lives, promote inclusivity, and strengthen community. We strive to redefine what’s possible in service provision by ensuring accessible support for all. We believe everyone deserves support, no matter their financial circumstances. With respect, integrity, and a bold commitment to challenging the norm, we deliver impactful services that adapt to needs and create meaningful change in our community.
Anixter Center stands as a leader in offering diverse, high-quality support for individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health needs, and those who are Deaf, DeafBlind, or Hard of Hearing.
Annually, Anixter Center impacts the lives of children, teens, and adults throughout the Chicagoland area, with 90% of them living at or below the federal poverty line. We operate more than 40 programs across 20 locations to ensure our services are accessible to those who need them most.
