Henin’s collaboration with the film director Laurent Boileau resulted in this adaptation of his successful graphic novel telling a story of the growing up of a Corean child adopted by a Belgium family. Jung is one of the 200,000 Coreans adopted around the world. He decides for the first time to go back to South Corea, to breathe the air of his ancestors, walk on it and perhaps find traces of his biological mother. This is a journey of reconciliation with oneself and one’s origins, composed in the form of the animated documentary.

Laurent Boileau. Having spent a decade working as a chief cameraman and the chief editor for a number of documentary films, his passion for comic strips and graphic art in general resulted in several films about the Ninth Art. Marking the twentieth anniversary of the downfall of the Berlin Wall, he made an animated series for the RTBF nad curiosphere.tv. Apart from film directing, he is active producing the comic strip chronicle at the actuabd.com portal, as well as animated comic strip at the France Télévisions web pages. Jung. Born in Seoul in 1965, he took the name Jung Henin after being adopted by a Belgium family in 1971. Completing the studies of drawing at the Academy of the Brussels Art School, he started illustrating short articles for Spirou and Tintin. His first books were published in 1991, and in 2006 he produced the autobiographic black-and-white account Couleur de Peau: Miel, published by the Soleil publishers.
