N
ot too long after the Civil War, when the NRA was a fledgling organization, Smith & Wesson came alongside to form a lasting relationship. As both worked to support the enhancement of Americans’ marksmanship skills, each grew to see the important responsibilities they shared. Subsequently, much of Smith & Wesson’s 159-year history intertwines with the growth of the NRA. Understandably, when the Friends of NRA program was created in 1992 to raise money for The NRA Foundation, Smith & Wesson was an eager supporter. The company has since evolved into a mega-dealer and avid contributor to securing the future of the firearms industry, including stalwartly supporting various Friends of NRA endeavors.
