Research about customs and traditions in the world/Ecuador We human beings create culture. Our ways of thinking, feeling and acting, the language we speak, our beliefs, food and art, are some expressions of our culture. This set of knowledge and experiences is transmitted from generation to generation by different means. Children learn from adults and adults from the elderly. They learn from what they hear and what they read; they also learn from what they see and experience for themselves in everyday life. This is how traditions are inherited. (León Campell,2015)

Through the transmission of their customs and traditions, a social group tries to ensure that young generations give continuity to the knowledge, values and interests that distinguish them as a group and make them different from others. Preserving the traditions of a community or a country means practicing the customs, habits, and ways of being and modes of behavior of people. (Cruz, 2015) According to ( Gallegos, 2013) mentions that “Ecuador is a country rich in traditions and customs. A country that appreciates its own, because with the passage of time each one remembers and lives the customs of the ancestors and the new generations.” It is the diversity of a town that feels its parties, shares its dances, typical foods, language or crafts. Own expressions that come and go from every corner and that are divided between the mountains, the coast, the Amazon and the insular region.

Ecuador is a varied country. Each geographical region has its peculiarities and that manifests itself in the language but also in clothes, gastronomy, and customs. There are a total of four wellmarked regions: the coast, the Andes, the Amazon and the Galapagos archipelago. An important element of the traditions of Ecuador is about gastronomy, which as with other aspects of culture in this case is also a diversity from cultural assimilation and the combination of various trends. One of the most representative dishes of this country is the guatita consisting of a tripe accompanied by lemon and other vegetables such as onions and tomatoes. (Lopez, 2015)

In the same way among the most traditional dishes is the sancocho, making a soup prepared having as main ingredient beef or chicken, in which also other typical foods such as cassava are added. In addition, traditions regarding gastronomy are based on accompanying typical dishes with tamales prepared with cornmeal and integrating other ingredients as part of the filling.

Other traditions of Ecuador are based on cultural manifestations that are related to handicrafts being an important element as part of this culture, since indigenous markets are highly valued throughout the country, to acquire hats made with palm fibers, as well as typical clothing such as ponchos and other objects such as ceramics.(Caseres,2013)

The culture of a people is the essence of its tradition, its symbols, myths, legends and customs are transmitted through time and together make up the nation. Understanding and participating in our traditions identifies us as Ecuadorians, links us with a common past and projects us into the future. Ecuador is a varied country. Each geographical region has its peculiarities and that manifests itself in the language but also in clothes, gastronomy, and customs. There are a total of four well-marked regions: the coast, the Andes, the Amazon and the Galapagos archipelago. (Gรณmez, 2010)

Customs of Ecuador Below are some traditions that exist in Ecuador as mentioned (Estrada, 2009) Aboriginal

The beliefs of these groups of people are usually linked to the nature and laws of the Universe, so they usually have diverse mythological beings related to phenomena such as life, death, disease, the creation of the world ... The Shuar, by For example, they do not believe that death is synonymous with the end of a human being, but that their spirit, ArĂştam, will be received by another human being as their son or grandson, to begin a new life cycle. Afro-Ecuadorians Among the most popular customs of Afro-Ecuadorians, the music stands out, which constitutes a very important part of Afro-Ecuadorian culture. On the one hand, we find the black music of Esmeraldas, on the north coast of Ecuador. Here, the music that can be heard even today has the characteristics of Afro-descendant communities, as instruments such as drums and marimba continue to be used. Foods One of the most traditional dishes of Ecuador is the cariucho (from Quechua cari-, which means man, and -ucho, which is equivalent to ajĂ. Another popular dish at the historical level is the llapingachos, also native to the central Andean region of Ecuador and southern Colombia. New Year In Ecuador, as in many other countries, the New Year is synonymous with leaving the past behind and embarking on a new beginning. Thus, on New Year's Eve, there are many traditions that Ecuadorians keep alive to welcome a new year.

Wedding The majority of customs for weddings are carried out with the aim of attracting prosperity and hope in life that will begin as a couple. The use of something borrowed, for example, really comes from the Celtic culture and symbolizes the maintenance of ties with the family and the acceptance by the family of our partner. The old, meanwhile, represents the connection with the past.

Carnival One of the most popular festivals in Ecuador, along with Holy Week, which we talk about below, is Carnival. It is an event, above all, cultural that is celebrated in style with water, foam carnival, flour or cornstarch, talc, etc. and in which the attendees disguise themselves with elaborate costumes or paint their faces with plant-type paints. In Ambato, known as the land of flowers and fruits, the cultural groups in which parades of floats decorated with flowers and fruits of the area are highlighted

.

Christmas Christmas in Ecuador is lived in style and is synonymous with reunion with loved ones and closest friends. It is a party where gifts are given and received and family meetings and meals are held. Day of the Dead The Ecuadorian drink par excellence of this day is the purple colada, which is prepared with black or purple cornmeal, accompanied by the famous bread buses

In short, flowers and memories cover the graves of all Ecuadorian cemeteries on this day when the presence of deceased loved ones is longed for. Indigenous people, on the other hand, far from longing, celebrate the renewal of a new life cycle and the transition from one life to another dimension. In some areas, it is still customary to take the deceased's favorite food to the

cemetery and consume it next to his grave. It is also common to wear black or dark purple clothes.
