Get Your Home Back-To-School Ready
Get a Calendar... two.
Mount a monthly dry-erase calendar in the kitchen to track everyone’s activities and everyday tasks. Label each family member’s activities in a different color to assist in organizing & for looking at a glance. A 12-month calendar is helpful in tracking events happening in the later months & makes it easy to transfer over to the dry-erase calendar.
Bedroom & Closet Cleaning
Organizing kids’ bedrooms and closets will ensure cleanliness and lessen distractions. Ideas include labeled bins or baskets on designated furniture, such as shelves or a desk. This ensures kids will put everything in their corresponding spots and may encourage them to use these items more often. This also creates a healthy habit in sanitization.
Homework & Supply Zone
Prepare an area in the home for all-things academics, a clean working space with supplies. This will help children focus on their work without interruption & easily find the tools they need. Organize these items by using pegboards, drawers, shelves or baskets.

Old Fashioned Peach Cobbler Recipe
by Lauren Allen of Tastes Better from Scratch
5 peaches (peeled, cored and sliced)
¾ cup granulated sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
For the Batter:
6 tablespoons butter
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
¾ cup milk
ground cinnamon
1 Add the sliced peaches, sugar and salt to a saucepan Stir to combine
2. Cook on medium heat until the sugar is dissolved and helps to bring out juices from the peaches Remove from heat and set aside (skip 1 & 2 if using canned peaches)
3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Slice butter into pieces and add to a 9x13 in. baking dish. Place the pan in the oven to allow the butter to melt. Once melted, remove the pan from the oven
4. Mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the milk, until combined. Pour mixture into the pan, over the melted butter and smooth it into an even layer
5. Spoon the peaches and juice (or canned peaches, if using) over the batter. Sprinkle cinnamon generously over the top.
6 Bake at 350 degrees for 38-40 min Serve warm, with ice cream if desired
