Bloody bastard
First issue : “Band of Bloody Bastards!”
Earth, 2313 AD, Primus Sector...

The heroes of the bloody era following the fall (which happens to start here : in one of the few cities with retractile cupolas that lasted after the “grim reaper” cataclysm) are nomore.

And with their disappearance came the end of a war which was said though to be the one that would have brought a new dawn for what was left of mankind (like all others before then and yet not much more than that vain promise).
But some of its actors earned fame far beyond battle. People such as Victor “Morgenstern”, Tacitus or even the prime warlord Khor : people that the world doesn’t succeed to completely forget...
unless

who should also be...
forged in blood, ...

new heroes arise! the kind of people (despite that)..
sharpened by time...
chhht...
Is he really sleepin’?

(just a second)..

no, what’re you...
Step back!
Chief, it’s me : Charone!

precisely!

1. Band of Bloody Bastards!

So... what do you want exactly ?!!
erf...
32 minutes waiting for a medic...
hem... with a bullet in the head, what else could we expect? ...

yeah,
grat grat
sergeant, speaking of which ... i was thinking ... now he’s “really gone” (and all)..
he’s clearly dead now...
“Maybe” (just maybe), we could, like, take an arm (or a hand)... not seen, not guilty... no?
hem...
i already told you, Johnny... at least, “with me”... you can stick your cannibal whims up your own butt!

You are always so harsh
why does it bother you that much? it’s just an arm (or hand)!!
it’s not like he cares anymore: he’s dead, god dammit!

you’ll do whatever you want at home... but i won’t let this happen on “my” watch!
hem.. okey man!
chief?
you’ve won!
there! n...
yeah...
“great deal”: and what if we still live at the barrac...
hell...
“dam”!
“yop”
but you took his pulse, right?
Arhhh..
twice: before and after!
and “zero” means dead (i’m not that dumb)!
hem..
ew.. with you, Johnny...

it would be two undead in this god damn squad ...
... and i think i’m just fed up of carrying the worst men...

we hear you clear boss!! a piece of cake!
??!
Sorry boy!
hope that...

he’s still one of us...
...
..and the muzzle too!!

we’ve been called for some cranian trauma ...
“a lil’ late”, i guess ... backbringthe camisole !!!
and so, after few moments ... Well,
delays!
Stay quiet still, they’re nearly gone ... (also, where did Benny go)? you, piece of shit!...
What?! you forgot they let Butor to die for nearly half an hour?!

and you, forgot we just watched him stew in his own juice during all that time...
heh heh not fair.
then...
here we go... and again, really sorry for the long

that’s probably what saddens me the most i suppose ...
Sir.. why’re you so mean with us?!
we kinda like you tho’
speaking of us As you know...

2. Court-martial offense.

what’s the plan now?

keep waiting still! at least for the armoured support vehicule i asked (along with the ambulance)!

we still need to get the block sealed off...
(If that’s none of you as well)... By the way

shall i repeat myself? Where is benny Brute ?!
Benny? he’s down the street, sarge : to the right...

(basically, he was just going discreetly for a pee)

while, well...
and retrace the responsible of all that mess with a bit of chance while you were “resting” let’s say.
God dam.. “fine”!!! guess i’ll have to search for him myself then...
and i prefer not wondering why pissing takes him ages.
héh hé...
hey, Brute!! get the hell out of there!!

at your order, sir!...
i think what they say is never turn your back to an ennemy
...(but we’re not ennemies, right)?

friendly reminder : the publc toilets are just this way!
But, i can only regret waisting stupidly my chances ... anyway...
wanted to be sure, damn me!

yeah, that’s it!
what in the.. ?
you are mine !!

i heard shots when arriving : it was you?!

my men are securing the entrance (but i thought at least the dead-end was safe) : where is your sergeant ?!!

hem... Corporal, you... ?!

you didn’t use your sirens?
no : something’s worrying me!
there’s traffic jam all over the city but near this street, noone, not a damn soul : nothing!
however, with the cheap price of any handmade rocket launchers on the black market and our losses..
In doubt, i prefered a more discreet approach... But you didn’t answer my questions

we... We’re just guarding the dead-end (i guess)..
against what? The wall in the back?! It doesn’t tell me where’s your superior still!

it was about time...
only thirty secondes more...

and i would have been in real trouble.
that being said...
i can only admit that your diversion was quite helpful...
(as usual)!
twas nothing really...
“however” ...
wha? ah i... hem.. well..

i know a very nice pub on the third avenue!
Dana.. it’s...

why didn’t you simply pull out your gun at first?
...I actually did : even when resting a bit my eyes, i had my gun on hand! But as soon as i put it back in its holster and turned my back, they tried something anyway. And then, how the hell would i’ve done in martial court to defend my case with three dead dummies and a half one with absolutely no eyewitness?!... but there’s only one reason they risked a mutiny. Butor’s death was a too good occasion.. And suspicious enough.
alas, i fear we’ll need them alive, still (at least for a bit) ...
Sarge, i promiss you it was not.. it’s Lili and Charone who...
(Some even prefer arguing the company misses enough men already) ...
I simply don’t give a fuck! i even bet charone killed Butor himself when we were patrolling on the other side of the street... his story of a blitz attack still seems odd ...
I would not be surprised that The absence of any crowd near the dead-end isn’t just related to fear : simply, nobody wants to be involved in that.
but i’m pretty sure you’ll escape prosecution anyway (somehow due to our lack of staff, “cruel irony”) so, your excuses are bullshit to me!

Psychological Profile:
Lazy, apathetic. Has no ambition whatsoever, with a serious lack of initiative and a constant habit of relying on the comfort given by his stripes to do strictly the bare minimum.
He lost his wife (or at least, that’s what he says : officials, however, have no records of his wedding, which necessarily had to occur outside the dome).
Probably suffering from severe depression following the events that led to his wife’s demise.
Note : demanding a second advice to confirm schizophrenia tendencies (subject maybe hiding something).
Perks Evaluation :
Overall, good trooper and reliable, but mediocre sub-officer : barely passed the academic test. Has obtained his rank on a matter of only few points (while previously excelling on the shooting range for his first gun license)...
History :
Official records date back to his 20s (when he first opened up a form to obtain his gun license) : making him serve as reservist, before he entered a detective job later on...
He then fully joined the corp few years later, following a murder case (and probably to avoid the procedure).

Last psychological evaluation : March 13th 2313.
Registration Number : 7E 131
Codename : « Bloody Mary ».
Name : Dana G. Marlo.
Rank : Corporal.
Age : 22 years old.
Current affectation : Epsi company.
Psychological Profile :
Intelligent, very capable and with a strong sense of charisma...
The thing that she is still a corporal is simply a bit odd when taking into account her excellent results to academic tests, which would have technically granted her more than her actual rank.

The anonymous accusations of harassment from an other member of her unit known to her, kind of confirms a will to stay on the field from her part.
I diagnosed erotomania at the time. For the rest, she’s a heavy smoker. Her many tries to stop this bad habit have led her to be extremely impulsive.
Perks Evaluation :
Outstanding sub-officer : good on operation ground, respected and well approved by her peers as for her subordinates or her superiors in the hierarchy.
History :
Enlisted with a man she just met at the time (at the age of 17) and following the murder of her parents : probably to avoid prosecution (after she avenged their death). Still minor of age, she had to wait one year, to try the academic tests that would allow her to get the stripes of corporal. Ever since, she systematically refuses any promotion!
