t present digital communication has become the interface of academic collaboration for educators connected globally. They are currently us-
ing digital technologies through network space where they can meet to work, do research, share experiences, and/or generate knowledge. This study involved Christopher Allen and David Richardson from the University of Linnaeus in Sweden together with Margarita Ortiz and Maria del Carmen Bologna from Casa Grande University in Ecuador when they collaborated in the development and implementation of an online research project from two geographically distant academic settings in the planet. It was presented in the 22nd EUROCALL Conference in the University of Padova where international delegates mainly appraised the state of language pedagogy, practice and research of Critical Computer Assisted Language Learning activities and its effects in the teaching -learning process.
