Frankfurt Book Fair

This book is the first volume of a series (“From the butterfly to the caterpillar”) addressed to adults (parents, educators, teachers) but which has as its starting point the world of children.The themes are an help for the development of the personal life of children: identity, apologizing, permission and thanks, a smile, the importance of greeting, kindness as a lifestyle and respect for our planet. It must be read in tandem, with a view to reciprocity, with didactic suggestions, activities to be carried out, stories, poems, reflections, organized in small units of reading and practical learning.
Paola Fontana has been dedicated for years to teaching, on which he has published over five hundred publications. She has taught national training courses.

Tehran, Iran: Kimiya, an 11-year-old girl, sees her older brothers secretly attend protests against the regime and parents terrified by the moral police.
Padua: Azad, an Iranian exile in Italy since the eighties, has wanted to forget that he is iranian and has no contact with his homeland. When he was in Iran he had documented with photographs what was happening.
The stories of these two families will intertwine thanks to the photos, an exhibition and a blog, in a story alternating between Italy and Iran very exciting.
Gigliola Alvisi lives in Padua, in a house on the banks of an ancient river, together with her husband and a wise dog. In between stories, she loves meeting young readers in libraries and schools.

Elena Soprano writes for adults and kids and published with many publishing houses. She wrote texts for the Radio Rai and for Radio Svizzera Italiana, and also short stories for newspapers.
AntonGionata Ferrari works with many publishing houses in young adult book publishing. In 2007 won the Anderson Prize as best italian illustrator for kids.
Anna is an anorexic 16-year-old girl who... can’t do it. When she disappears, however, we readers can still hear her and she can still see what her friends do and observe the behaviour of her mother, with whom the relationship was always problematic. In this way Anna revises her existence and, while considering the point of view of others, allows us readers to compose the puzzle of a life marked by the silent eating disorder and allows her, the protagonist, to question herself.
The book of Bonalumi is not scary, it does not alienate, indeed. His words are welcoming and praise the awareness of life, without rhetoric, without sweetening anything, without unnecessary sentimentality. How teens are. How they like it.
