A message FOR YOU
Anna is an anorexic 16-year-old girl who... can’t do it. When she disappears, however, we readers can still hear her and she can still see what her friends do and observe the behaviour of her mother, with whom the relationship was always problematic.
In this way Anna revises her existence and, while considering the point of view of others, allows us readers to compose the puzzle of a life marked by the silent eating disorder and allows her, the protagonist, to question herself.
The book of Bonalumi is not scary, it does not alienate, indeed. His words are welcoming and praise the awareness of life, without rhetoric, without sweetening anything, without unnecessary sentimentality. How teens are. How they like it.

A quarter of those with anorexia are male. Men have an increased risk of dying because they are diagnosed much later than women. This could be in part due to the misconception that men do not experience eating disorders
An estimated 0.5-3.7% of adolescent girls develop anorexia
95% of people with eating disorders are aged 12 to 25
18-20% of anorexics die within 20 years of contracting the disease
