Anchorpoint of View
A note from our Managing Director, Hard to believe we are going into the second half of 2023 already!
Our strategic goals for 2023 are well underway with some fantastic introductions and new projects coming on stream, existing projects in Precon progressing to really exciting stages including a dynamic project covering two locations in both London and Edinburgh.
Many things have changed as we have come through one of the most interesting journeys in the world of workplace, with the common denominator often revolving back to the fact that clients can now grow in sales revenue and headcount whilst either maximising their existing space or downsizing, along with embracing a creative hybrid working model. It is not ‘one size fits all’ but every company can embrace this in some shape or form, and ultimately it means more budget becomes available to build really creative and high-quality working environments.
With momentum and growth comes the need for more team members, and we have welcomed some significant hires across all areas of the business, building the Anchorpoint family both professionally and socially.
The enthusiasm and drive by the team to continually push ‘above and beyond’ has elevated my whole view of what Anchorpoint can truly achieve!
Whilst I could single out everyone in the team for a mention in some shape or form, one of our new starts Brinsley Clarke deserves recognition for a sterling performance in his drive and professionalism dealing with multi-national clients and locking down the details for a hungry Precon team. Well done Brinsley!
As we continue to challenge the status quo, watch this space as to where you see Anchorpoint next. Energy and focus supersede geographical boundaries!

Our thoughts on hybrid working.
Its 2023 and hybrid working continues to keep evolving.
Whilst no companies have instructed their staff to return to the office, they are most certainly viewing their workspace offerings as assets to be invested in.
Clients have been working with us to re-design their current spaces, or indeed designing a completely new and fresh space, that will engage and inspire their staff to want to come back to the office more regularly as the intangible benefits of staff being together again has been noticed by every client we have worked with.
Bringing people back into the office will always be an important aspect of what Hybrid Working is going to look like for the rest of 2023 and the key phrase we have heard this year is ‘we want to inspire them’.
The functional requirement of every space is always unique to the specific needs of that business but, we still know how to add that design magic to excite and engage staff as they come back into the office.
From the arrangement of the space, location of desks and the multifunctional pieces of furniture that can be used as collaborative spaces or indeed private working areas away from the hustle and bustle of busier offices, factoring in the importance of lighting and natural light, the benefits of biophilic elements that brighten up spaces and instantly make them feel more homely - there are so many ways in which we can take a space and make it become more than our clients ever imagined.
Its 2023 and hybrid working continues to keep evolving, and we are ready to help deliver whatever Hybrid looks likes going in to 2024!
Employee Spotlight Q&A.
Meet Lynn!
We asked her some questions so you can get to know her better.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
What's the funniest or most memorable moment you've experienced with your colleagues at work?
Our re-branding outing at Cluny Clays - Rob going for his first kick at foot golf and in slow motion slid right on his back whilst wearing his brand new Anchorpoint jacket! It had been pouring with rain for hours. I don't think I have ever laughed so much. Also, on this day Rob and I were crowned the best rifle shooters in API!
What's your go -to comfort food or guilty pleasure?
Depends on the situation - if I have a migraine / headache, always a chippy. Got to be a half pizza crunch supper smothered in chippy brown sauce. Chocolate is for the evening when it's been a long day and you just want to chill out. That's a lie, I could eat chocolate any time for any reason.
I think what wins would be teleportation. No more wasted time travelling places, I could randomly decide to visit another country on a whim. I could see the world and not have to pay for any travel! Or I would take being able to fly if teleportation was unavailable. If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three things would you want to have with you?
My husband Allan, our dog Luna and a toothbrush. I don't imagine there would be a substitute for toothbrushes, and I wouldn't want my teeth to fall out. That's all I need, I'd be happy living a simple life if that's all I had.
A few of the Anchorpoint Team on National Doughnut Day. We couldn't miss the opportunity for Krispy Kreme's!
Keep an eye out for our next edition!
