Because I still have hope. Because my mind is sharp and my skin is thick. Because after a long day I go home and let music be my therapist. Because I am exhausted in the day but by night I can’t sleep. Because everybody who doesn’t know me thinks I’m harsh. Because people think they know me but they are not even close. Because I remember villains from stories that I sympathize with. Because I always like someone that doesn’t feel the same way. Because my friends don’t know what the word love means. Because it’s too scary to die. Because I was alone when everybody was outside. Because walking through my hometown at night feels like walking through a graveyard, a ghost town. Because alone is the only time I feel in place. Because reality makes me feel like this Because I don’t know what I mean by like this.
