The IACS is proud and honored to announce that Antonio Vultaggio will be our special guest for the evening. He is the son of Sam and Josie Vultaggio and is the oldest of four children. Antonio is a lifelong resident of Macomb County. As a child, he grew up in Romeo, Michigan and graduated from Romeo High School, where he played football and was captain of the track team in his junior and senior years. He met his wife, Julianne, while they were juniors in high school, and they have been together ever since.

They have been married for over a year and have been a couple for the past 10 years – Julianne is his greatest accomplishment. Antonio is the grandson of Sicilian immigrants, Antonio and Frances Vultaggio and Alfonso and Mary Chirco. He was brought up in a traditional Italian family and learned at an early age the importance of preserving his Italian heritage and culture. Antonio has been a member of the Conca D’Oro Club and served as their recording secretary for two years. Antonio attended Michigan State University, graduating with a Bachelors degree in Political Science Pre-Law. Presently, he is employed at Suburban Ford of Sterling Heights, New/Used Car Specialist. For the past four years consecutively, he has been the recipient of the President’s Club award, in recognition for achieving a high number of sales in a year and reaching a customer service score of 91% or better and maintaining a happy clientele. In 2017, The Million Dollar Club commended him for bringing in over a million dollars from the vehicles he sold for the company he works for, Suburban Ford of Sterling Heights.
Lessons for adults and children are now being offered by the Italian American Cultural Society in Clinton Township, Michigan. Courses range from Saturday morning children’s lessons to week night classes for adults, with beginning to advanced language skills. The comprehensive lessons include reading, writing, vocabulary, conversation, and cultural introductions. They are taught by native Italian speakers with teaching degrees, yet have the social feeling of meeting up with a few friends or taking a quick trip to Italy. Children have workbooks and other materials including music at their grade
levels to help them learn the language without the pressure of taking tests and having homework. Learning Italian and other languages has proven to help children understand English grammar, too. The focus for the adults, on the other hand, is on developing stronger conversation skills to help with a visit to Italy or to keep language skills sharp. There is a perfect course level for you.
