Italian American Cultural Society Providing Meals to Frontline HealthcareWorkers During COVID-19
MACOMB, Mich. (April 27, 2020) - IACS has come up with a way to support Healthcare Workers & First Responders, while keeping some of their own employees working. When survival is paramount, maintaining perspective can be difficult. “I have a lot of employees to worry about, and this is one way we can all take care of each other.” Says Alex Lozovoj, General Manager of the Italian American Cultural Society, Clinton Township, MI. IACS is taking donations to help pay for the preparation and delivery of meals to local Healthcare workers. “We’re thrilled that this is kicking off and we can show our support and appreciation to our local Healthcare Heroes.” Says Alex Lozovoj. Many people have already donated, allowing them to provide over 1,000 meals to different local locations including; Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital, St. John’s Hospital in Detroit, Henry Ford Hospital, Pine Ridge of Sterling Heights Assisted Living, and local Churches and Police Departments, to name a few. Sysco Detroit has been a huge help in supporting this cause by donating some of the food to make these meals. You can visit www. iacsonline.com to make a donation.
