Roller shutters help to reduce the heat transmission through windows in winter, due to the additional air trapped between a window and a roller shutter curtain.

Windows are one of the main sources of energy losses.

Through windows the heat of the home escapes in winter, and in summer windows let in sunrays that heat the room.

In summer roller shutters prevent sunrays from penetrating through the glass into a room.

Corrosion resistance of the extruded profiles' coating is confirmed by the SEASIDE certificate. That guarantees long-term durability of roller shutters in coastal zones with a high concentration of salt and iodine in the air.

Designing, development, production, installation and service are confirmed by the conformance certificate ISO 9001:2008 (TUV Rheinland InterCert, Brussels).

The high quality of anodised extruded profile coatings is confirmed by a certificate from the international organisation QUALANOD (Zurich, Switzerland).

Test report of BASF Coating GmbH (Münster, Germany) testifies excellent coating quality of the aluminium strip, used to produce profiles with foam insulation, and full compliance of the finished coating process with the European standards.

COMFORT AND SAFETY

Automatic roller shutter control A wide range of ALUTECH automatic devices for the operation of roller shutters allowing easy, convenient control.

Wired Systems This is a simple and reliable system for the operation of roller shutters with the help of a wallmounted switch or an electronic key switch. This provides improved safety and reduces installation time.

Radio remote control systems Operation of roller shutters by remote control. A range of devices includes mini-transmitters (key chain remote controls), portable multi-channel remotes with wall mounting clips, wall mounted remotes with a programmable timer to set time for closing/opening of shutters.

• Group control Save time on opening/closing of each roller shutter.

The remote allows the user to control one shutter only, or a group of shutters in the room or in the whole house.

• Automatic triggering Remote–timer or light sensor provides automatic shutter closing at night and opening in the morning.

• Quick control Mini-transmitter on a key chain to keep with your keys enables you to quickly close shutters directly from the car upon departure.

MOUNTING TYPES ROLLER SHUTTERS WITH SHUTTER BOXES SB45°, SB20°, ROUND AND QUARTER-ROUND

Front mounting The roller shutter box is installed on the frontage or room wall. Such a mounting enables using the visible light area of the window to the maximum.

Built-in mounting The roller shutter box is located inside the opening.

One of the advantages of built-in mounting is the absence of any raised roller shutter elements on the frontage.

Such a mounting type enables installation of the roller shutters in buildings of different architectural styles. But with this type of mounting the window area is partially reduced by the shutter box.

Combined mounting with the shutter box outside The roller shutter box is located in the recess of the opening. This type of mounting combines the advantages of the front and built-in mounting – maximum use of the light area and the absence of any raised elements of a roller shutter.

Combined mounting with the shutter box inside* The roller shutter box is located in the recess of the opening with the front part inside. If this mounting type is used, a closed roller shutter aligns with the frontage as they are on the same level. The same or similar colours of the roller shutter and the frontage will emphasise the integrity of a building.

ALUTECH offers different types of mounting for roller shutter systems, depending on the architecture of a building frontage. Roller shutters can be installed either within window/door openings or on the face of the openings. They also can be mounted either inside or outside.

ROLLER SHUTTERS WITH BUILT-IN SHUTTER BOX SB-I/m

The main feature of this system is “hidden” shutter box mounting within the building frontage. To increase the insulation values in the shutter box housing over the window, it can be insulated with different heat-insulating materials to achieve the required insulation requirements.

Mounting with partial overlap of the window opening The bottom of the shutter box is on the same level as the top of the window or door-frame. This mounting scheme provides space in the recess over the top of the door or window to install a shutter box.

Mounting above the window opening The bottom of the shutter box is on the same level with the upper surface of the opening. With this mounting type the end slat raises out of sight and the full light area is used to the maximum.

Mounting in the window opening This is a mounting type for existing buildings. With this mounting scheme a window can be partially overlapped with a shutter box.

Mounting of roller shutters with a built-in shutter box according to the 1st and the 2nd variant should be planned in the course of construction in the prepared recesses above the window.

* This type of mounting is not recommended for roller shutters with shutter boxes SB-P/RE and SB-R

AG/77 profiles are fabricated from aluminium strip 0,49 mm thick. This guarantees a strong and durable wind load resistant design.

PUR/PA* is a two-layer lacquer coating applied to profiles at a thickness of 25-30 microns which provides high resistance to abrasion, scratches and cracking.

High quality foam filling

Additional ventilation

Environmentally friendly CFC free foam.

The even foam filling without voids and cavities provides good strength characteristics.

EA/77 profiles with vents provide additional ventilation.

Partial view and illumination

Wide colour range

Installing EV/77W profiles with windows and special acrylic glazing allows daylight to penetrate inside the garage. This allows you to access your car or find something without turning the light on.

More than 17 profile colours and different finish types, including imitation woodgrain finish with lamination, provide original and individual colour solutions.

*PUR/PA coating is a polyurethane coating with polyamide particles, which are very solid and resistant to corrosion.

Hand operation for emergency opening

Safety edge system

It is recommended that you optionally install a detachable hand drive in your automatic roller garage door to open the door in case of power failure.

If an obstruction is detected in the opening, and it contacts with the edge of the roller garage door, the curtain is stopped or reversed (depending on the settings).

"Snail" suspension system

Guide rails with wind locks

This ensures even winding of the curtain and reduces abrasion of the curtain during operation.

The combination of AG/77 profiles with reinforced side locks and the guide rails with wind locks provides the high wind load resistance of the curtain.

Comfort and control Automatic operation A wide range of automatic operation and safety devices: electric motors with manual override system, controls such as key lock switches or the more comfortable operation by radio remote control, plus a safety edge system that serves to stop the curtain in case of any obstruction being in the opening.

Automatic operation ensures the most convenient and multi-functional control of roller garage doors. You can operate them sitting in a car by pressing a button just once.

Manual override system According to EN 13241-1 it must be possible for a person to exit the premises in case of power or electric motor failure.

There are two ways to achieve this: through an alternative / emergency exit or by means of a manual override fitted to the door. In the latter case, the door must be equipped with an electric motor with manual override system (NHK) and fitted with a detachable hand drive.
