Complementary technologies The combination of dual 18-inch neodymium transducers, with 4” long excursion voice coils, front loaded within a highly tuned, laminar ported bass-reflex enclosure, combined with Amate Audio’s next-generation ACTIVE +™ integrated power and control platform, delivering 5000 W amplification, and DSP system management with advanced FIR/IIR filtering and Dante AoIP, makes the X218WF among the most leading-edge and powerful subwoofers available.
Touch Control Amate Audio’s next-generation ACTIVE +™ power and control platform features unique touchscreen control of the various system parameters. The highly ergonomic GUI provides easy and rapid access to the various DSP system control parameters, on the rear panel mounted 3.5” TFT colour touchscreen. This also provides monitoring of system-performance and protection parameters, including Amate Audio’s unique AC overvoltage protection circuit. Full system remote control via ethernet or wi-fi is enabled with Amate Audio’s DSPStudio™ application.
ACTIVE+TM ACTIVE +™ control technology replaces all of the external amplifier and system control racks – and the requisite cabling – of conventional loudspeaker systems; circumventing all of the associated additional cost and risk of component or connectivity failure. Integrating 3rd generation Class D amplification, advanced FIR/IIR filtering and DSP system management, ACTIVE +™ provides unequalled levels of operability, including sophisticated and powerful application specific system presets for near instantaneous configuration – making optimum system performance achievable in a fraction of the time required to ‘tune’ conventional sound reinforcement. A 90% efficiency switched-mode power supply – with selectable EcoMode – enables maximum power delivery with minimum consumption, and greatly reduced size and weight.

The combination of two 18-inch woofers with 4-inch long excursion voice coil in a carefully designed laminar ports cabinet, 5000 W ampliďŹ cation, in-built DSP with F.I.R ďŹ lters and Dante networking(available under request), makes the X218WF one of the most advanced,powerful and easy-to-handle subwoofers. The right choice for high demanding applications.
Design Efficiencies The high output levels of the X218WF provide for truly large-scale touring sound, event and fixed auditoria and arena applications. A range of accessories allows easy stacking of the sub with different line arrays. A M10 thread on the lateral side provides for X212AF stacking, while a top side M10-M20 plate socket facilitates stacking of X210 and X208 line array elements or other point source cabinets..Ergonomic handles and wheels enable easy handling and transport. The Amate Audio developed 2 mm thin speaker grille, with grey micro-foam cloth, boasts a 67% ‘best-in-class’ perforation coefficient, making it almost sonically transparent, and aesthetically pleasing. The multilayer baltic birch plywood construction with Polyurea® coating, offers maximum reliability and strength for touring and other physically demanding applications. Standard Version
