Finding new ranges has become much more challenging as I have mentioned before but we continue to try and find something new to bring you. We see so many lovely things but it is not until we decide to include them that we see your reaction. Somethings are really popular and some things not, we just never know. In the last catalogue we hit a rich seam with Tweedmill, Dora and Fiskars, all ranges we really love and use ourselves. Demand for Tweedmill has been so great that we have not been able to secure more than a few items for this catalogue but we hope to be back in stock in time for the July catalogue.

We have added some delightful new designs to the Dora doorstop collection which was so successful last time. You have obviously, like us, been getting out in the garden and a sharp set of pruners is a must, the Fiskars ones are getting five stars from Janet.

Cooking is something that a lot of the Goviers team enjoy and the selected ranges of cookware and tableware items are all things we have used and highly recommend. The Mepra cake forks have been a top seller and make even the simplest afternoon tea just that little bit more special. I cannot recommend the Mermaid range enough; these are the best tins I have ever had and with a little care will keep on performing for years. Revol is also a wonderful range and with a thick ceramic base it keeps hot on the table for a good time, an added bonus when they are used for serving from as I like to do.

We have not in the past featured a lot of tableware but Janet was particularly taken with this new design that you might be familiar with from Herend that we thought it was something worth including. A fine cup and saucer, a cake plate and a selection of Mepra cake forks and cake slice would go together beautifully. Even better if that cake had been baked in one of our Mermaid tins! We like to have it all covered!

REVOL France is one of our favourite countries and when the opportunity arose to visit Revol on the edge of the Rhone valley it was too good an opportunity to miss. Founded in 1768, Revol still retains very much a family feel and the traditional skills of the potter are still very much in evidence. They match tradition with the modern requirements of today. All these items are oven, microwave and dishwasher safe. Cooking being a serious passion in our household, we felt it only right to test these items and they’ve passed with flying colours.
