S P R I N G AT H O M E A N D I N T H E G A R D E N We have all been spending so much more time at home over the past 12 months that I am sure that we have all noticed things that need refreshing, and corners of the garden that could do with a prune.

That is certainly the case here. Our jobs list seems to grow daily! While we have been unable to travel to see suppliers we have had to rely on Zoom calls, new catalogues and suppliers we’ve met at past trade shows to inject some new and exciting things into the catalogues.

A number of the team have always admired, and indeed purchased, items from the Dora Designs range. Janet made her selection with input from the extended team including our son’s girlfriend Hannah, who still loves Puffins. When the samples arrived even I was enchanted. They really are lovely and so much fun, as well as being practical. I think Steffi used all the doors in her house for the pictures!

The orders and comments we have had about the Selbrae House range from Scotland have been incredible so we know that many of you love them as much as we do. A few new designs have been added for 2021.

We first met the lovely family team from Darach at a trade show in Glasgow in 2018 and fell in love with their unusual range, so much so that we now have two lamps and a table at home. All made from vintage oak whisky barrels, the ultimate in repurposing. Every piece is different as every stave is different. Amanda’s father is a retired cooper so I am sure has many memories of making barrels just like these. What a skill to have.

Amanda first found Tweedmill Textiles from Wales at a trade show in Harrogate in 2019 and we have been waiting for a chance to include some of their vast range in the At Home catalogue.

You will also see that a new canine member of the team has joined us, Snorker is Steffi’s lovely and energetic dog. He will no doubt be modelling a new coat before too long! We love this range and hope you will too.

Gardening has kept many of us sane during lockdown and as spring has arrived both Janet and her mother have been enjoying the Fiskars pruners that they had for Christmas.

They really have made light work of tidying fruit trees and tackling a few over grown bushes in our garden. Hopefully at some point I will get to include some of their wonderful kitchen scissors too.
