Trinity provides a nurturing environment that enthuses, engages, and stretches pupils so that they can be supported in developing their own individual character. The Trinity community, not just its teachers but all involved in and with the school, enable the young people here to thrive. It is a community I am delighted to be a part of and honoured to be leading.
At the core of our school lies our guiding trinity of individualised academic education, outstanding pastoral care and holistic development This holistic approach empowers our pupils to develop into fully rounded individuals, equipped with the essential skills and character traits required not only for success during their academic years, but also in their future endeavours.
Key stage 3 is a time when in many schools, pupils can become “lost”. At Trinity we will be helping them to be ready for the next stage, to grow in independence, to learn the social skills they will need to define themselves and their place in our community and to make those all important GCSE choices. There may well be the odd bump or wrong turning along the way but the Trinity family will be there to help.
Kind regards,
Robert Robinson
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to Key Stage 3 at Trinity.
I am writing to you to introduce myself. My name is David Turnbull, and I am the Assistant Head of Trinity School with responsibility for Key Stage Three.
I am very much looking forward to meeting you, if I haven’t already, and welcoming you all into the Trinity Seniors community. I am sure that I will get to know you well during your child’s time here at Trinity. We find that the triangle of support including pupil, parents and teachers is essential to enable each child to feel supported and stretched.
In the meantime, please do not hesitate to get in touch with any queries that you may have.
Yours sincerely,
David Turnbull

Pupils travelling to school using a taxi will be dropped off inside the school site. Pupils being dropped off by car should be dropped off on New Road and walk down to the crossing, and under supervision, cross Buckeridge Road to enter the school site. Dropping off in the lay-by outside school is not advised as the traffic becomes very congested and potentially unsafe.
All pupils must be in their tutor rooms ready to register promptly by 08:25 and after lunch at 13:45. All pupils who miss registration must register at the school office in the Whitehouse.
Any pupil who needs to leave early or arrives late, with prior permission, must sign out/in at the school office. Pupils may not leave the school premises without permission.
Academic lockers. Mr Turnbull will allocate lockers and keys to Yr7 and Yr8 pupils who request one. These lockers are for their books and coats etc and are in MD Quad and outside of the Chemistry laboratory.
Sports lockers. At the start of the academic year, PE staff will allocate new Yr7 pupils and other new students, a sports locker in the changing rooms for sports kits. Each student will be responsible for their own locker key and any replacements needed.
We operate on a two-week timetable, Green week and then Purple week. For many younger pupils there is no difference between the weeks. In Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 there may be different lessons each week due to options chosen. Each lesson is 50 minutes in duration followed by 5 minutes of movement time between classrooms.
Lunch is provided as two options; a hot three course meal in the Refectory, or a baguette, baked potato or salad at the Baguette Barn. Each pupil will be asked for their individual lunch choices on the three-week menu, at the start of each term. This will happen during tutor time.
Pupils will eat their lunches in the assigned areas; hot meal in the Refectory and baguette inside the Baguette Barn or on the picnic table outside in better weather.
If pupils are not staying for club, they need to have this confirmed by email from Parents to their Tutor and Enquiries. If this permission is in place, the pupil can make their way home at 15:40. If a pupil needs to leave the site during the day for any other reason, (e.g. medical appointment) parents must email or telephone school in advance and the student must always sign out at the School Reception.
At the end of the school day after club time, pupils travelling home by taxi should leave club at 16:45 and meet their driver outside CCF, ready to leave by 17:00. All other pupils to be ready for pick up at 16:55, preferably up on New Road rather than the lay-by.

Trinity operates a three-house system and every pupil is allocated to a ‘house’.
Ugbrooke (Blue)
Powderham (Red)
Luscombe (Yellow)
A pupil can contribute to the house total by gaining ‘house points’ for academic and other school activities that support the ten ‘Trinity words’, also through sporting or academic events. The house totals are important and rivalry between houses is strong. The houses have their own badges and colours for sport. Pupils from the same family will be allocated the same house.
The School Calendar of events can be found on the school website under the “About” section, trinityschool.co.uk/school-calendar. It is a working document and may be subject to change.
This is the School’s weekly publication about what is going on at Trinity. It is sent out to parents and can be accessed on the School Website. trinityschool.co.uk/senior-senior-voice.
