Informations

To obtain discounts, you have to be present and able to show your ID.

In the cable car cabins and the shuttle buses and also in the stations dogs are obligated to wear a muzzle.

The Combi Card and the Seiser Alm Card Gold are not transferable and are available at all cash desks of the Seiser Alm Aerial Cableway, at the Tourist Offices of Kastelruth, Seis am Schlern and Völs am Schlern and at your accommodation.

Children (born 2017–2021) and peolpe in wheelchairs ride free of charge. Juniors (born 2007–2016) pay only half fare.

*The Guest Card “Südtirol Guest Pass” from Dolomites region Seiser Alm, which is not available for purchase and is issued free of charge to the guests by the accomodation, includes a price reduction for the Combi Card and for the Seiser Alm Card Gold.

Bicycle transport

The bicycle transport is charged:

> Single Ticket: 6.00 €,

> Roundtrip Ticket: 12.00 €

In the shuttle buses (routes 2, 3, 3A, 5, 13, 15), in the Seiser Alm Express (Bus Route 10) and in the Almbus (Bus Route 11) the transportation of bikes is not allowed.

The road leading to the Seiser Alm Nature Protection Reserve is closed from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm (exception for guests of facilities located on the Seiser Alm).

Guest card

“Südtirol Guest Pass”

The Guest Pass facilitates holidaymakers’ the exploration of the Dolomites Region Seiser Alm as well as the wider region of South Tyrol, providing a single-ticket access to all types of public transport, such as train and bus. The South Tyrol Guest Pass is valid for the duration of your stay. The Guest Pass is personal and non-transferable.

New: The Guest Pass is now available only in digital form. You will receive it at check-in directly via email on your smartphone. If desired, the digital guest card can also be printed. With Smart Check-In, you have the option to obtain the Guest Pass before your arrival.

Dogs don’t get the Guest Pass and have to pay the regular fare in the buses of the Public Transport Services. The transfer of dogs in the shuttle buses is free of charge.

Attention: The Guest Pass is not valid for the following lines:

Attention: In the Shuttle Buses and in the buses of the Public Transport the Guest Pass must be validated in case of every journey.

On the Seiser Alm and in the surrounding villages the catholic holy mass is also celebrated (protestant service in Bolzano). Times are shown below. We would like to remind you that mass is celebrated in the small churches in the surrounding districts. Whoever would like to take part can get further information from their hosts or in the Tourist Offices.

The 7,288-hectare nature park was established in 1974 and, together with the regional conservation area of the Seiser Alm, forms a natural unit. The mountainous woodland around Seis am Schlern, Völs am Schlern and Tiers am Rosengarten as well as the Tschamin valley belongs to the nature park. The Rosengarten massif and the Schlern mountain, which give this nature park its name, along with their impressive mountain towers, are also considered one of the landmarks of South Tyrol.

There are several car parks/multistorey car parks available to you in all built-up areas. Please note that the parking spaces bordered in blue are subject to a charge. You can get tickets from the appropriate vending machines. All other parking spaces are free of charge. There is a spacious free bus and car park at the valley station of the Seiser Alm cable car. Shuttle Buses

(Bus Route 2, 3, 3A, 5, 13, 15)

The following tickets are accepted in the Shuttle Buses as a ticket: Combi Card, Seiser Alm Card Gold, Südtirol Guest Pass and all tickets of the Public Transport Services Südtirol/Alto Adige.

For all other passengers the one-day-ticket (4.00 €), the 3-dayticket (9.00 €) and the 7-day ticket (11.00 €) are available at the Automatic Ticket Distribution, the 1-day tickets are also available at the Tourist Offices of Kastelruth and Seis am Schlern. It is not possible to purchase tickets on the shuttle buses. Children born 2017–2021 free of charge.

Public Transport Buses

(Bus Route 170, 172, 176, 177, 185)

On public buses all tickets of the Public Transport Services are valid. The tickets are issued on the bus. Also the Guest card “Südtirol Guest Pass” is valid on all public services. Tickets for the Shuttle-Buses (1-day, 3-day and 7-day, Combi Card and Seiser Alm Card Gold) are not accepted on public services. Children (0-5) free of charge.

Seiser Alm Express (Bus Route 10): Seis > Kastelruth > Seiser Alm

The Seiser Alm Express is included only in the Combi Card and the Seiser Alm Card Gold. All other tickets are not valid not even the Südtirol Guest Pass. When purchased individually, a round-trip ticket costs 28.50 €. You can purchase tickets directly on the buses. Children born 2017–2021 free of charge.

Almbus (Bus Route 11): Compatsch > Ritsch

The Almbus is included only in the Combi Card and in the Seiser Alm Card Gold. All other tickets, also the Südtirol Guest Pass are not valid. Rates for other users:

> One-way ticket: 4.00 €

> Round-trip ticket: 7.00 €

You can get the one-way ticket as well as the roundtrip ticket from the ticket dispenser at the bus stop in Compatsch or in Saltria and directly in the bus.

> 3-day ticket: 11.00 €

> 7-day ticket: 17.00 €

The 3-days and the 7-days ticket are available at the Tourist Office Seiser Alm in Compatsch.

Nightliner Schlern N170 (Friday and Saturday night)

The night taxi, known as nightliner, operates on Fridays and Saturdays between Panider Sattel (Kastelruth) and Völs am Schlern.

Traffic regulation on the Seiser Alm

The road to the landscape conservation area Seiser Alm is closed to private traffic from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. During this time you can get to the Seiser Alm with the Seiser Alm Aerial Cableway or by bus. You can return from Compatsch at any time. Guests, who have booked an accomodation on the Seiser Alm, have the following special permission to use their cars:

> You can arrive and depart from the accomodation you have booked at any time.

> During your stay you can drive from your hotel to Compatsch before 10.00 am and after 5.00 pm. Between 10.00 am and 5.00 pm private traffic is not allowed on the Seiser Alm.

> you will receive your special authorization to use your car either on your arrival at the Info-Point in St. Valentin, in the Seiser Alm Tourist Office or directly from your host.

Ban on driving in village centers

Our village centres are subject to traffic-reducing measures and at certain times there are total bans on traffic. The times when traffic is banned vary according to the season. Please note the appropriate information signs. Parking your caravan overnight outside the camping place is forbidden.

The Saltner mountain cabin (1,850 metres above sea level) nestles at the foot of the Sciliar and is surrounded by green alpine pastures with a profusion of flowers.
