Marconi Tennis Celebrating 50 years of Excellence

On Sunday June 4th,2023 close to 180 adults and children came together at the Marconi Tennis Courts to celebrate the first 50 years of tennis activities. Stewart Whicker, the head coach of the Marconi Tennis Academy since 1998 and many others present felt the love and friendship that has developed over the last 50years. Today was all about family and supporting one another on and off the court.

A memorabilia display featuring old photos, publications, minutes books, tennis racquets from all the ages and a well documented DVD display had everyone talking, smiling and laughing all afternoon. A free BBQ, with tea & coffee and the cutting of the delicious 50th Anniversary cake was enjoyed by young and old.
