Current Activities The teams in Texas continue to work hard to get families back into their homes nearly two and a half years after Hurricane Harvey. As our team in Houston will be wrapping up our program at the end of this month, we want to give a huge thanks to all of our partners who have supported us for the last two and a half years. This month, we’re excited to highlight our continued work with local partners such as the Coastal Bend Disaster Relief Organization, Rockport Hands of Hope and Habitat for Humanity. We’d also like to highlight a new partnership with the USO of South Texas that seeks to engage local veterans interested in contributing to our work on the ground. The team in Coastal Bend has also made a connection with the local Veterans Memorial High School soccer team. This will allow upwards of 30 students to help families of their community get back on the road to recovery.
Project Spotlight The team in Houston continues to look for additional ways to have an impact on the community. They recently partnered with the non-profit Trees for Houston to help plant trees at the Houston Botanic Garden. Our volunteers worked besides upwards of 60 community members.
