After a short operational suspension due to Winter Storm Uri, our all-staff team is back on track and working hard to fulfil our project commitments before they close out the program at the end of this month. Having worked in the region for nearly three and a half years, this is a momentous occasion for our team(s)! Winter Storm Uri Response All Hands and Hearts will be making plumbing repair kits to distribute to those impacted by Winter Storm Uri. We’ll be working in collaboration with our partners on the ground to ensure these resources make their way to those most in need. These kits will be made outside of Texas to not take away from local resources and be sent out when ready.
Community Stories Pamela Isaiah is a retired Air Force veteran whose home was damaged by Hurricane Harvey. Another organization was able to complete some of the repairs but were unable to finish due to COVID-19. Our team have been installing flooring in her bedroom and bathroom. They found a small amount of mold hiding behind the baseboard so have removed, sanitized, and replaced the boards and drywall.
