Current Activities Our team has now completed six high-quality, interior home repairs thanks to continued hard work and commitment through the holidays! Our first cohort of DM12 volunteers completed their service and departed at the end of 2020. Due to COVID-19 concerns and reduced volunteer interest, we’ll continue operations using an all-staff model for now.

Community Stories Deborah and Jay Rodriguez, and their son, were living without a floor and unfinished walls for years as a result of Hurricane Harvey. In the past year, they repaired the roof and leveled the home, but the interior was still unfinished. Just in time for the holidays, we finished the inside of Deborah and Jay’s home with new floors, kitchen cabinets and a fresh paint job. The previous kitchen had plywood cabinets and shelves, so Deborah was particularly excited because she said she’s “never had real cabinets before.” Photos: (top and left) Deborah and Jay’s brand new floor, kitchen cabinets and paint job nearing completion.
