Current Activities Having said goodbye to our first cohort of DM12 volunteers at the beginning of last month, our staff team were glad to welcome the second cohort to program on January 24, inclusive of two AmeriCorps NCCC teams! Following their period of mandatory quarantine, the volunteers will continue supporting the essential work of our partners, CORE and LA Regional Food Bank.

VOLUNTEER HOURS

While COVID-19 cases remain extremely high in Los Angeles, we are pleased to share two pieces of positive news: 1) that CORE is now administering COVID-19 vaccinations as well as testing, and 2) that we have decided to extend our program until July given the significant, ongoing needs of the County in response to the COVID-19 crisis. These additional three months will enable us to distribute approximately 380,000 more meals to families in need, administer approximately 235,000 more COVID-19 tests and help facilitate approximately 600,000 vaccinations.

Partner Spotlight "In this unprecedented pandemic, we need all hands on deck to protect our communities,” said Ann Lee, CORE co-founder and CEO. “We are immensely grateful to have All Hands and Hearts’ helpful volunteers supporting our L.A. program at this turning point in the pandemic. Their support is invaluable to CORE and the Angeleno community."
